[Tutorial] Edit __sce_menuinfo in PS1 Loader Bubble 3.52

Post by hewell » Thu Aug 18, 2016 10:05 am

Before everything, I want to say sorry for my language mistakes. I had research than nobody had talk about that so I think than nobody had tried or ... It's to simple than is no need to a tutorial, anyway, I'll talk about it.

How to edit __sce_menuinfo in PS1 Loader 3.52 (at least, this is my firmware and it works)

If you have a game like Tekken 2 and are using a Ps1 Loader from PSONE BUBBLE REBIRTH 3.51/3.52, when you using a multidisk game like Final Fantasy, Metal Gear, etc, you cannot change the disk so... you create another bubble? It's not necesary.

In this example I will use the base game SCES00255 so if you have a different game, replace it.

First of all, we need three things
  • writer.eml patched e-mail
  • Popconfig software (need java)
  • fingers (is't not necessary but it's helps)
It's quiet simple so don't be afraid.

1) Dump the __sce_menuinfo.
It's not really neccesary but if you have a f*cking great screen size configuration, I think you don't want to lose it.
If you don't want it, jump to step 4. So send to your Vita e-mail a mail with this html code inside
<A Href="email:send?attach=ux0:pspemu/psp/GAME/SCES00255/__sce_menuinfo.">SCE MENUINFO Dump </A>

2) Open mail in your Vita app.
Click in the text of new mail, it open a new screen mail with __sce_menuinfo attached. Send it to you PC e-mail account and download in your PC.

3) Open the PopConfig.jar
Click on File -> Load to open your downloaded __sce_menuinfo.

4) Edit __sce_menuinfo.
Here you can edit everything you want, in my case, change the disc number. Then click on File -> Save.

5) Last step, send it back.
Rename the __sce_menuinfo to #0 and attach it a mail with the subject ux0:pspemu/psp/GAME/SCES00255/__sce_menuinfo and send it to your Vita e-mail.

Open your vita email application and open the mail, touch the camera symbol and DO NOT click OK in the Error Message, simply close the e-mail app.

6) I don't know if it neccesary but I reset my PSVITA, then you have your changes applied.

Have fun and if you find something that is not understood, let me know and I will change.
