[Tutorial] How to activate your 3.60 PSVita

Disclaimer: I just tried this method and it works just fine. I have no responsibility if this method does not work, update, or break your device. Make sure to press no if your device ask for update. Thank you. I just want to share this.

The main idea of this method is to bypass the update checking and then enable back the server access for activation.

Requirements:
PSVita (of course)
Windows PC (I used Windows 10).
Working PSVita update blocker.
Proxy server on the same machine (same with the machine with PSVita update blocker). I used CCProxy 0.8.

Step 0:
Set up your Vita WiFi proxy to your machine at port 8080 (update blocker default port).

Step 1:
Make sure your update blocker is working properly. Once it worked, press ctrl+c or close the program.

Step 2:
Make sure your proxy server is working properly. You can test it by using your phone (set the proxy to your machine).
I had a problem with the proxy program. I need to whitelist my machine by going to Account, pick permit only, Auto Scan, insert your IP range, press start, and once you saw your device listed there press ok. Also don't forget to change the proxy port to 8080 (similar to the one used by update blocker).

Step 3:

• 1. Activate update blocker.
  2. Enter Settings>PlayStation™Network.
  3. Once it is successfully blocked press ctrl+c or close update blocker.
  4. Launch and run your proxy server (I used CCProxy 8.0).
  5. Now you can activate your device by entering System Activation.

That's all. Thank you for reading and maybe testing. You can also use another machine for proxy server as long as you changed the machine IP address to the IP address in the PSVita proxy setting.

Or use the old trick with vitaupdateblocker and then enter PSN store. Turn it off in network settings and download a game.

He is not saying how to download from psn he is saying how to activate your psvita so you can play digital games on it .

You might want to mention the fact that this trick will only work for a couple more days. Once sony updates their certificates this method will no longer work. And that will only have another day or so, if that.

EDIT: Nevermind, already fixed. Only firmware that can access PSN is now 3.61.

I don't know why people waste their time writing these huge tutorials based on proxy's after each update. If you weren't aware it get's patched every time faithfully within a week. The only dependable method is PS3.

Well, I am new to PSVita hacking and I thought I can share something since I was unable to find any tutorial about how to activate your PSVita at the time. Ok, time to add an edit.

No, only way you can get online now is to install henkaku on 3.60 or be on 3.61.
