Simple fixes for Slim Vita Screen.

Post by Noteworthy49 » Tue Jul 26, 2016 3:20 pm

If you have a slim Vita,You might be familiar with the 'ghost touch' or the touch screen going out of control either after a few hours or a few minutes(Case for me).As far as I know,This can happen due to the smallest drop of any liquid,Sweat included.Throwing the sensing off-balance.

Get a screen protector
I cannot stress this enough,It'll save you a lot of hassle if you can manage to get a screen protector for the Vita. This prevents any moisture from reaching your screen.Though it may be costly depending on where you live,Since Vita isn't a whole lot popular around the world so chances are you're gonna have to buy it online.

Turn the Vita off(Read on)
Basically,You can turn the Vita off COMPLETELY and restart it and chances are you'll last for a good couple of hours without issues,Though this isn't an option if you're in the middle of the game or something and can't exactly save progress.
In that case,Just tap the power button to turn off the screen and wait until the green power light goes out(Few seconds). Then turn it back on and you'll be good to go,Though I've found that this method MAY have a shorter productive span(Much less than the above one for some reason). On a personal note,I was so annoyed with MGS 2 touch controls while fighting the Harrier I ended up rage-deleting it.
NOTE:While the Vita is turned off(Doesn't matter completely or not),Take time to wipe your screen,A cloth would suffice.

Worst comes to worst,You can play in front of the AC so that your hands stay cool(And Freeze) preventing any sweat release.Hope this helped
