Seems Vita games like SXD audio. 2 games so far.
ShrineFox wrote: Thanks, that appeared to work. However, the cpks are encrypted (pretty sure with pfs) even though I had the game's manual open with Near when I dumped it.

Anything I can do about that...?
If that is the case the it's possible that they won't be decrypted until they're needed (like when the game starts)
Doubt you can do anything about it.

I take it we can't decrypt the pkg files yet either then, so unless the game can be run within Near instead of the manual or something you're probably right. How disappointing

Well you could always try to point to the game's eboot.bin
But that will just break I think.

Anyone else having issues with near bugging for a firmware update?

I'm on 3.01 and everytime I open the web browser and enter the uri link for the game I'd like to dump, near open, shows a white board and then promts me to update my system software.
I never see the game manual.

Is there a way around the update? Or can I ignore it?

Regards.

Near shouldn't even start because the eboot path for it has been replaced with manual viewer's.
Check if you've changed the eboot path correctly.

When I try to dump the contents of ux0:app w/o the game fiels mounted, I can't dump everything just fine.
But once I do this anti PFS exncryption thingy and then try to dump my memory card I immediately get error code C1-2737-9 "Could not copy some content items."

Anyone knows what that might be?
Could it be that Vitas on 3.01 might detect this flaw?

I doubt it... Actually I got that error if my app.db wasn't accurate (I was trying to make room on my memory card for the dump). If you installed/uninstalled anything between updating your app.db and attempting the dump, try starting over and editing your current app.db. Even if you don't remember doing that, it's worth a shot

At what point what I need to start over? Factory resetting the vita?

Thing is, I can dump the memory card w/o a problem. Only when I mount the game I actually want to dump, the Vita gives me the above error.
Also, my dumping path is set to ../../../app, so I would only dump "ux0:app" anyway, which didn't see anything new (un)installed anyway.

Well the app.db includes all the apps you have installed, and you're also dumping them all, so if one is missing or an unexpected one is found it'll have an error dumping all the files.

Just send your app.db to yourself again and re-edit that one and it'll probably be good
