I was talking about this post. I think you must send an email with 2 attachments: the first attachment must target the file you wish to dump and the second must target another huge file. You must also know how many time it takes to dump the other huge file and how many time for both files. Only with those time measure you will know when you must leave the email application to finally get the file using CMA with music database.mr.gas wrote:also u can do 600 dump in one forwarded message. . but u need to be careful .. because the email app will delete them when it finish dumping. . so u must close the email app before it get to the last file .
.

(do a dummy files at the end)

Re: [Tutorial] How to dump any file between 2MB and 16MB
I understand wait i have an idea
Forwarding my file takes 20 - 30 min... its maybe 500mb
What if we would make one file thats 3gb and send to vita then wait this 20min till it forward first file and close email? i know it will be complicated but we need to make trigger and you know im very bad in making triggers xD but when we close app and open it again to install music.db will it not delete our early dumped file?

Re: [Tutorial] How to dump any file between 2MB and 16MB
I think you must never close the mail app while it's in forward message edition (without interaction available because it is dumping files). When you "think" (by your previous time measures) the file you wish to dump has been copied and it is copying your other attachment, you must reduce the mail app and dump the file through CMA with an "already ready" music database. This is why I suggest you a trigger which will allow changing the music database without "destabilising" the email database (you can also dump you mail database file through music database trick without "destabilising" the email database to check which YY.Part.X.dat file is generated).
To do it, you will probably need one last additional trigger which set the second attachment file path to a dummy but huge enought file to dump (I think PSP2UPDAT.PUP would be a good candidate).

Ok but will email app not be destabilished when you minimalize it while forwarding?
Also will avcontent.db be copyed when i maximalize email app? Becouse i dint look at this trigger does it copy it every time you open email app?

By "destabilished", I mean that the "MessageID" moves.
No, the trigger I gave do not copy the music database file on email application opening but it allows, with a single mail, infinite "reuse" to replace/update music database by simply clicking on the attachment. Again, it is only to avoid some changes in the next forwarded message ID (I think this is important because MessageID is used to determine "YY" in "YY.Part.X.dat").

Re: [Tutorial] How to dump any file between 2MB and 16MB
I finally get some time to try all those tricks and I successfully dump PSP2UPDAT.PUP as a test.
Forget everything I said about "MessageID" stability...
I did it with the brainless way (I will try to look a better way later):
- Send your dump email with #1 attachment
- Set up a music database with mail.db dump possibility
- Reset the email database and put back you email account (fully open your mail box to load all messages in the message list)
- Dump your mail database through music database trick
- Look your email database and check which is the last MessageID
- Set up music database with mail.db and a bunch of "ux0:email/message/00/00/XX.Part.2.dat" where XX are numbers after the last MessageID you saw in your fresh mail database (it should be "Part.2" if you send a mail with only one attachment)
- Now go inside email application and open the forward panel of the email with the file you wish to dump
- Wait in the forward panel until it finish copying the attachments
- When it is done, reduce the email application without killing it
- Dump mail database through CMA using music database trick
- Look at your mail database for the MessageID of the forwarded message (should be at last row)
- Dump the appropriate XX.Part.2.dat file (because you just reset your mail database and you set up a bunch of those files, you should have the right one in your list, just remember what song you replace
)

Yes, it is complicated due to the fact that you cannot change the music database (because you cannot close the email application so you must "predict" next MessageID). This is why I think mr.gas talk about StateFlag which should allow to close and re-open email application without loosing the dumped "XX.Part.2.dat" file (so the music database could be easily and precisly modified).
I will try when I have more time if it is possible to trigger something if the forward message subject is changed to something like "#KEEP#" and then closed.

Re: [Tutorial] How to dump any file between 2MB and 16MB
Hi there, using this to dump my Persona 4G cart but I'm very confused.
So I got my Output.txt and managed to dump mail.db to the dump folder to my PC, the thing is I don't know how to do the path for the Persona 4 files I got from Output.txt
So should it be like ux0:/eboot.bin ??? then ux0:/sce_sys/about/ ??? then just keep attaching the #1 file?
I'm new to this so I am quite lost... Thanks! I've been trying to figure this out for hours by looking up things online.
