[Tutorial] How to install TNV-11 on 3.35-3.50 PSTV/PSViTA

THINGS YOU NEED:
- You need a PSViTA or PSTV, maybe a PS3 also, depends if you can still access PSN on your vita without updating to fw3.51.
If you need to transfer via PS3 you will need Vita Update Blocker to prevent PSVITA from asking to update or giving other errors ( http://wololo.net/downloads/index.php/download/8304 )
IF YOU NEED TO DO THIS PLEASE FOLLOW " PREP STEP " instructions.

- You need QCMA also to transfer files to your vita. ( http://wololo.net/downloads/index.php/download/8241 )

- You need TNV11_Ape_Escape_US.zip from that site too, it contains the save exploit.

PREP STEP INSTRUCTIONS:
1. OPEN QCMA , go to settings. CHECK "OFFLINE MODE" and choose "Manual" for CMA Protocol Selection
Choose the firmware you are on for your device, in this example we are using firmware-3.35 , so i chose:
FW 3.30 - 1900010

2. Open " vita_update_blocker_v1.2.exe "
Take Note of " Listening on " IP on vita_update_blocker_v1.2.exe
You will use this IP and enter it as a proxy on your device ( PSViTA/PSTV )

INSTRUCTIONS:
1. download and install " ape escape on the loose USA" from PSN (if you cannot access PSN on your vita USE PS3 to download your game and transfer it over via QCMA to your PSViTA/PSTV)

2. unzip FW336_APE_US_TNV11.zip (this is the one i am using cause i am on firmware 3.35 if you are using fw3.50 use FW350_APE_US_TNV11.zip )
Inside you will now have 2 save folders "TNV_54321" and "UCUS986090000"

3. download PSP firmware 6.60 ( http://wololo.net/download.php?f=OFW660.zip )

4. Extract the PSP firmware from the .zip and RENAME to "660.PBP"

5. Place "660.PBP" inside the "TNV_54321" folder
When you installed QCMA it made some folders in "My Documents"

6. Place your two save folders "TNV_54321" and "UCUS986090000" into the following directory QCMA made for you.
C:\Users\DrFunkenstein\PS Vita\PSAVEDATA\XXXXXXXXXXXXXX
NOTE: XXXXXXXXXXXX is your user profile it is just numbers and letters but it is your profile
If you placed it in the right place it will be like this
C:\Users\YOUR WINDOWS PROFILE NAME\PS Vita\PSAVEDATA\XXXXXXXXXXXXXX \TNV_54321
C:\Users\YOUR WINDOWS PROFILE NAME\PS Vita\PSAVEDATA\XXXXXXXXXXXXXX \UCUS986090000

7.Transfer the files from your PC to your vita using QCMA

8. Start Ape Escape on the Loose

9. Load the Save file, Press X

10. you will now be in the TNV-11 menu

11. Go to Advanced

12. install 660 files

13. After install go back to the main menu in TNV-11 and exit, it will reboot into the PSP 6.60 firmware

14. you can now install PSP homebrew, load PSP iso , or PSP minis or PSN games, enjoy

What if my Vita is still on 3.30, but all my other devices are latest? How can I get the game onto the Vita in that case?

you will need to buy the game on PSN and then download with your PS3, then follow the PREP STEPS to transfer from PS3 to PSViTA, just follow my tutorial and you should be on your way and i am happy to help.

Hmm, I had done that. WiFi is spotty in the room with my PS3 though, I wonder if it just couldn't connect... Will try again, thanks.

The issue I'm having is that when I copy Content MAnager, click Copy Content, and select PS3... no matter if I choose USB or WiFi, it still tells me "You must update the system software of this sytem". As if the PS3 has been patched to do this check later than it used to (based on this tutorial that produces the same result http://www.guidingtech.com/33939/transf ... d-ps-vita/ ).

Any other advice?

I mean... I guess the update blocker should be doing it's job, but there's no sign that it is. I've entered the correct IP and Port on the WiFi Advanced Settings... is there a way to verify it works? I hit google.com in the browser and it loads, but nothing logs to the update blocker console window.

OK, I hit Internet Connection Test and finally the vita update blocker said:

[Sun Jul 19 16:03:09 2015] Vita's real version is: 03.300.000

[Sun Jul 19 16:03:09 2015] Spoofed latest version to 03.300.000.
[Sun Jul 19 16:03:09 2015] You can disable proxy settings now.

However, connecting to the PS3 over WiFi, it still says to update the system software... as if the PS3 knows what the latest Vita version is.

use update blocker and connect the vita to the PC or PS3 via USB cable
thats how i did it

ALSO after you put in the proxy settings you want to connect to the network then put it into airplane mode and MOST IMPORTANT RESTART THE ViTA or it will keep asking you for UPDATE.

if you do all of these i promise it will work

the proxy will block the Vita from getting info from PSN and the PS3 will not be the culprit either, just be sure to enter the vita blocker info, put into airplane mode after and RESTART the ViTA, when you connect to the PS3 or PC via USB you will be in airplane mode and make sure you restart the vita as i said many times, when u restart you should still be in airplane mode, if u do not restart it will hound you about the update.

Also please make sure QCMA is set to the protocol version as i mentioned before

Thanks, got it. The ultimately got it working with the Vita plugged into the PC and downloading from the PS3 over wireless. It seemed kind of finicky at first, but it worked. Need to figure out how to make a TN-V bubble now.

Is this method still working? Also if it is willit work if iI just bought a new vita on fw3.36 but it has no psn account linked to it....how do I link the vita?
