Any other method? There's another ePSP method coming and I need the game.

Been messing (fiddling?) with Fiddler, and wanted to add to the discussion.

My setup:
PS Vita (JP) on 3.51
English display language, using US PSN account

What I've learned:
Region for update URL is region of console itself, as opposed to region of use (which I expected)

What I'm curious about:
So, according to the tutorial we're supposed to add "EXACT:" before the url... The main question I have is directed at the OP or whoever else can reliably answer it.

First of all, take this URL for example:

Code: Select all

http://fjp01.psp2.update.playstation.net/update/psp2/list/jp/psp2-updatelist.xml
(url was different for me. changed "fuk01" to "fjp01"; "fuk" = city of Fukuoka. "fjp" = Fukuoka, Japan. almost same.)

Does the url show up like this for anyone else?
http://fjp01.psp2.update.playstation.ne ... XXXXX&nd=1[/b]

It does for me, and I wonder if this is a new thing Sony's doing. Adding parameters for system version and session ID to the URL. I also wonder if Fiddler considers this NOT to be "EXACT"... Could that be why we're seeing reports of this not working anymore?

I'm doing my best to dig into the matter myself (as well as digging into analyzing the exact requests/responses being exchanged), but if someone else already knows, I'd appreciate the input.

I'm thrilled to have a shot at Rejuvinate, but I'm hoping to also regain access to ePSP CFW if at all possible.
(crossing fingers for new Patapon/Patapon2 exploits.. won't hold my breath tho)

Does this method still work. I have been trying for a couple of days now and can get fiddler to respond with the XML but always get an error on my vita. I have tried changing the XML region to au and the firmware version. Any help would be appreciated. I live in Australia with a 3.51 vita. I haven't been able to find an Australian version XML anywhere. Thanks in advance.
Update: I have finally made an xml which when updating from the system menu returns that the vita is on the current firmware, but playstation store sign in still asks to update. I think that a different request to the store needs to be sent rather than response to the vita system which I don`t know how to do.

method DOES still work, just used it now to access store, and im on 3.52 instead of 3.55, easier way for matching is click add rule, and add "psp2-updatelist.xml" for the matching, and then your modified xml file, saves incase the variables after the "psp2-updatelist.xml" from url change, it will still match, i suggest also, once in psstore, go to settings, and disable proxy, then browse and download etc, speds things up a bit
