From PSP Demo to TN-V Bubble

Post by mummysboy » Sun Jan 11, 2015 11:17 pm

Ok,

Been looking at ways to have a small Base Game - But a customised bubble.

On FW3.18 Mini's are not a viable option - so many just dont work. PSP Games offer full compatability - but are Massive, and multiple bubbles eat your memory card very quickly!

So what about a DEMO?

This guide should get you up and running a TN-V Bubble.
What you need:
PS Vita running TN-V/VHBL (Im using PATAPON2 as my exploit and my BASE game)
Access to PKG Installer (INFO HERE)
The Demo PKG HERE
3.18 TNV Bubble Files from HERE
QMCA
VITA FTP
VITA FILER
PBP Unpacker
HxD
fake_np

Ok.

1. Download the DEMO PKG (DANGONRONPA) and place it in your PKG folder as dictated by QMCA on your PC.
2. Boot the PKG Installer via the email mentioned above.
3. Install DANGONRONPA (It wont run but just sits there in a bubble waiting for us)
4. Boot VITA FTP
5. Transfer your patapon2 Eboot to your PC (I Dragged my whole UCES01177 Folder to the PC)
6. Place it in the fake_np folder and rename it to PSN.PBP
7. Back in FTP - rename PSP to PSP2
8. Rename GAME folder to GAMEE
9. Rename DANGONRONPA folder to NPJH90164&discid=UCES01177
10. CREATE a new folder called NPJH90164
11. Back to PC - get the TNV.ISO from HERE (thanks to quikrazor87 for the share)
10. Place the TNV.ISO into your Fake_np Folder
11.Explore fake_np folder and press shift, right click - select open command window here
12. Type "fake_np -b PSN.PBP TNV.ISO TNV.PBP" without quotes and press return
13. Transfer TNV.PBP over ftp to the NPJH90164 folder.
14. Rename TNV.PBP to EBOOT.PBP. (the full stop after PBP IS VERY IMPORTANT)
15. Head to your LICENSE Folder and transfer to the PC the Patapon2 .rif file.
16. On PC Rename the .rif to JP0604-NPJH90164_00-DANGAN100905TRIA.rif
17. Transfer our newly named .rif back to the LICENSE folder
18. Rename the GAMEE folder back to GAME then PSP2 back to PSP (DO NOT FORGET THIS STEP)
19. Double check it renamed back to GAME and PSP
20. Power off vita
21. Power on vita using PS button and Right Shoulder and power switch
22. Choose rebuild database and wait
23. Transfer over the TNV save Files via QMCA
24. Boot DANGONRONPA - voila TNV Boots - success, If not double check all steps preceding this one. (This guide assumes you installed 660.PBP in original exploit)

For Some unknown reason i can only change the name via the param/pboot trick. You guys may have more success with that aspect. If / When i suss that bit out i will edit this guide to reflect it.

EDIT - SOLVED MISSING LOGO MYSTERY!
I was using 144x80 Pics, it seems when doing it this way - more so when using a mini as your bubble you need to use 80x80 Pics as ICON0.PNG

Also - You need to extract the param.sfo from dragonro eboot and use that in your PBOOT to change the ICON.

Extracted PARAM.SFO is HERE - Just HxD edit the game title (Mine is currently edited to MANHUNT 2
Example PBOOT is Here - Again this is my MANHUNT PBP that i used for this bubble, just extract and change ICON0.PNG

Thanks goes to:
Mr Gas
Tomtom
quikrazor
nysek (gave me the missing piece of the puzzle - thanks man)

THX!mummysboy.

but i think mini game is working. only use to a bubble, not use to a base game.

easier and smaller. can change icon and name.

Arcade Darts (mini) works great as a base for homebrew on 3.18... Just not on 3.30+
PS4 (Black) - OFW 1.71
PS4 (Grey Special Edition) - OFW 2.03
PS3 CECH-2001A REBUG D-REX 4.56.2
PS3 CECHH01+CECHL REBUG REX 4.56.2 - CECHH01 DONATED
PS3 CECHA01 Rogero 3.55
PS Vita - 3.18 - TN-V & VHBL
PSTV - 3.20 - TN-V

After the issues I was having with mini's I have kind of been ignoring them.

using this "bubble stealing" technique it might work.

ill have a look again at using mini's and see what the smallest bubble I can make is.

Also I believe DEMO bubbles work on FW3.35 - however.... not a TN-V bubble, only VHBL (if I am wrong someone please post here and correct me)
