dirty30 wrote:After setting up and spoofing my PSTV with update blocker and having no luck connecting with my PS3 through my network, I then unplugged the LAN line from my computer and plugged it in directly to the PS3 and opened CMA on the PSTV. Success, it worked and I was able to transfer my games from the PS3 to the PSTV and the PSTV is now activated. Thanks for all y'all's work.
Is your Ethernet cord plugged into PS3 to modem or Vita Tv??? Did you still need vita update blocker and opencma?

Not sure how dirty30 did it but I plugged the ethernet from my PC to PS3 with the blocker active to get games from PS3 to PSTV. Then to get exploit data to PSTV, I plugged the ethernet from PC to PSTV with the blocker running and OpenCMA.I don't think the ethernet needs to go into the PSTV from PC to transfer the exploit data, as I used a different PC in another room to connect and transfer saved data.

I thought this was kind of cool. The backup utility leverages the USB interface like the PS3. Where this becomes useful if you have one or a small memory card. Set up the card one way, back it up to a stick. Remove, add, etc, back up again, rinse repeat. Then you can have multi set ups for your PSTV and not need to keep using a CMA variant or the PS3 unless you're getting a new title. A back up containing Patapon, savegame applied and 660.pbp removed and savegame replaced without 660.pbp is around 200mb for a quick clean refresh. An 8GB backup takes approx 20 minutes, I've not restored one yet so could be longer maybe shorter. Sorry, I just realized this copied to my PC. Nevermind :)

That's good news, Alp! Happy to hear that.

But I got some bad news.

 Uh-oh. Hey guys, for some weird reason, I can't play some of my PSVita games now. O_o It's strange. Ever since I loaded and installed in different games like Killzone Mercenary, also a game called Ragnarok Odyssey, all of my other vita games I installed before on my PSTV stopped wanting to load! Need for Speed Most Wanted, Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, Final Fantasy X HD games all stopped loading and shows an error that says "This application cannot be used with this system. If this application is supported by the PlayStation TV system, update the application" However both Killzone Mercenary and Ragnarok Odyssey both run on the PSTV fine.

Do you guys have ANY idea what the heck is going on? My exploits are able to run perfectly with no problems, I'm happy about that, but some of the vita games are NOT working now. This is a pretty disappointing.. I mean I'm glad my exploits are doing awesome, but now my vita games aren't cooperating with me all of a sudden?? Here are my theories on why the games stopped working. I'm guessing maybe it has something to do with the trophies affecting the games somehow?? It's odd because I started getting trophies out of nowhere while playing some of the games. Probably because I played the actual games on my vita and got those trophies already? How did I get trophies on my PSTV without even connecting to PSN to sync? Are the trophies saved into the game carts? Is there some copy protection going on? And I'm supposed to own two game carts instead of sharing?? Maybe it was Killzone mercenary's download version update fix to make it compatible with PSTV that affected other games and caused some sort of a security lockdown? Could Sony ACTUALLY be cracking down on this possibly already with patches somehow when wifi, LAN is turned on and plugged in?? Did they detected that I was exploiting with TN-V and decided to ban me? But I could still sign in on my unhacked PS3 though.. GEEZ, it's rather really quick if they seriously upped the security level and pressed the hot protection button to close all vulnerabilities immediately then, I'll give you that..

 Any possible explanation on why the games started to not work except Killzone Mercenary and Ragnarok Odyssey? Have you guys personally gone through this? How do I fix the other games to load up? I really wanted to play UMvC3, FFX, and NfSMS on the big screen from time to time on-the-go with my buddies, but now it all stopped working ever since the installation of Killzone Mercenary and Ragnarok Odyssey.. X_X I even tried reinstalling the games on the menu by deleting the game apps and reinstalling by inserting the game carts but to no avail, same result, not able to load. I also tried rebooting my PSTV too, and that even didn't work. Hopeless here. Any help would really greatly be appreciated. Thanks, folks.

I beleive the reason is because before psvitaupdateblocker active is the reason why those game worked i say that just since i could never play killzone without wanting to update.
Also i was under the impression only JP had a problem with navigating through the PS1 loader does it just not work on vita tv with any region for now or am i doing something wrong? Why is it tekken 2 automatically boots with analogue mode could that be the cause.

I'm having same problem with both FFX games [This application cannot be used with this system]. However, Toukiden and God of War Collection are still booting. All of these I got from PSN store and installed onto memory card from my ps3.

I'm having some issues. I have a 3.20 PSTV and I've tried the works, update blocker, ps3.proxy, etc. But my PSTV always says to update to the most recent PSTV FW whether it's a connection with CMA to the PC or PS3. Any help guys?

I was using QCMA but now switched to OpenCMA r5, going to try that out.
