This page has a list of which game exploits work with which firmwares.

http://wololo.net/2014/09/17/fw-3-18-ex ... e-you-can/

I'm pretty sure a later FW exploit would work on older FWs, but that list has games that will definitely work.

Good guide!

Just wondering if there is a way to use a PS4 instead of a ps3 for this trick? as I dont own a PS3 but need to activate my new Vita (which is on firmware 3.18!).

No; Blame sony for neglecting the vita and not porting those features from the PS3

i bought mine from my friend it had fw3.18 on it
i did the following

1. restored the PSViTA to factory
https://support.us.playstation.com/app/ ... -safe-mode
Choose 4 RESTORE PS Vita
system

2. when it started it up there was a place to put in my PSN account, i did that

3. then i followed the instructions on this thread and i was successful ^_^

in order to transfer from your PS3 to PS Vita they must have the same PSN ID

Hi guys.. First I'm not a total Noob but been out of the scene so will save the tech talk for later after I refresh myself. Second, this is a great guide which I used when I got into the PS TV scene.

Setup, I'm currently still running 3.20 on my Vita TV with CFW I think TN-V 9 or 10 (I'll check later). I used the Patapon 2 exploit and had fun with my Snes emu and PSP iso/cso...Ad Hoc 2-player mode was awesome.

Now, my question...my friends are not hackers and don't do any mods at all. They have PS4 and I want to remote play with them but I think I need to have PSN access? And, for that I need OFW 3.52 or is there a new hack or mod I can do to be able to remote play and still preserve my PSP and SNES game play??

THX IN ADVANCE -Kev

Is this not working anymore? I have a PS Vita on 3.18. I've tried these instructions as well a some others, but no joy. If I connect to my PC or my PS3 with CMA, it prompts me to update the system. Really annoying. Thanks.

After a great deal of scr..ing around, I installed QCMA on my Win 10 VM on my Mac. I connected then unplugged and connected to my PS3. I did a GREAT deal of silliness and mistakes, but still was able to download Facebook to my Vita 3.18 and activate my device. Making progress.
