This is the Tutorial contest rules for October 2014!
The winner will receive a $10 US PSN code!


Rules
- Your guide/Tutorial can be any guide/Tutorial related to the Vita
- Before entering, be sure to read this guide on making tutorials
- You are only allowed to enter with one tutorial for each console. eg. you cannot have two PSVita tutorials, but you can have a PSVita and a PS3 tutorial. You will be able to choose which enters if you make two in the same console.
- Your guide/tutorial must be original content and not previously published on other sites
- If submitting a previously posted tutorial it will need to have significant updates to qualify
- Do not make new accounts just to vote for your own tutorial. That's also a violation of the duplicate accounts rule here on /Talk
- "Tutorials" such as this one here will not be accepted, Put some effort into it or don't bother at all


Here's how you enter:
- Post a new tutorial YOU MADE here in the tutorials section
- Post here the link to that tutorial and if approved by me, I will add to the Op.
If it is not approved, I will notify you.
-At the end of the month, I will post a poll thread here for everyone to vote and the winner will get the PSN code!

In addition to that, the tutorial with the most votes overall will get a +$10 bonus.
For example, if the winner of the PS Vita contest got more votes than the winners of the other contests, the creator of the Vita tutorial will get $20 instead of $10.

Also I would like to invite everyone to my site. You can post your tutorials there if you wish, but it needs to have a link back to the original one here on /Talk

Huh? I opened the tutorial, and it is not of the same topic. Please read my tutorial again.

Mine is running PSM even on a lower firmware so as to prevent the PSN access, because if the PSM app detects a new firmware released, it will then always require firmware update. then it will close the PSM app/game, preventing it to run while staying on 3.18.

And your link, is just for installing PSM.

Can I ask for a second opinion if my tutorial can now enter the contest?

Seems yours is playing PSM games offline with a lower firmware while the one smoke linked is about installing it in general.
I would say yours is different and should be allowed but yea.

By the way, I already rephrased the title, since the original thread title can be a little bit misleading / and may be misinterpreted.

Hi guys,
This is my first tutorial, I was stuck at "You must update the system software".
I wanted to copy psp backups to my vita but i was stuck as whenever i connected my vita to pc through content manager, it would ask me to update the system software.

This is a simple tutorial about how to bypass "You Must Update The System Software" And Be Able To Transfer Files Again
