[TUTORIAL] Noob Guide - Install TN-V10 & PS1 Exploit in 3.18
Posted: Mon Sep 15, 2014 3:52 pm
I'm creating this guide because, as a Noob, it was pretty hard finding all I needed to get TN-V10 working. So this is a Step-by-Step guide to get it done.
*UPDATE*
As OFW 3.18 can no longer access PSN to buy the games, you have to do a workaround to get the game you'll use for the exploit inside your PS Vita. To do that, you'll need a PS3 with access to your PSN account (you can just login with a friends' PS3, in fact), qCMA (link below) and follow this tutorial here: http://www.guidingtech.com/33939/transf ... d-ps-vita/ . Hope that helps the ones who kept their firmware on 3.18 until now.
1 - First things first, take a look at the files available here: viewtopic.php?f=56&t=39739. Do you have any of these games? If you do, DOWNLOAD the Save File for it. If you don't, take the scorpion out of your wallet, buy one on your PS Store, and DOWNLOAD the Save File on the link above. Be quick, as they're being removed. I'll use Patapon 2 as an example, as it is the one that I have. Got the game? Great! Let's get things done!
Open the file and you'll have something like this:

Read the Readme and the Trigger Instructions. They'll give you game-specific information which won't be covered here - except, of course, for Patapon 2 (and Patapon 1, as it triggers the exploit in the same way).
Double-check the REGION for your Save File and open the right one for your REGION. In my case, I'll use the US files.
2 - Get QCMA to your Operational System here: viewtopic.php?t=34677 (Uninstall Sony's CMA or OpenCMA before installing it) and make it communicate with your PS Vita (start the CMA on your Vita); There are versions for Linux, Mac and Windows;
3 - Go to the PSP Savegames folder. To know where that is, take a look in QCMA's Settings;

4 - Inside the folder, there should be a folder named PSAVEDATA, and within it, another folder with random characters. That's where you have to extract the Save Files; In my case, I now have the folders "UCUS98732_DATA00" and "UCUS98732_DATA01";
Your folder should look somewhat like this by now. The folders have different names according to the game you're using for the exploit;

5 - Download PSP's 6.60 OFW here: http://zload.net/v2/archives/file/?id=2417922. Extract the file INSIDE your Save Game's Folder (for Patapon 2, it should be inside UCUS98732_DATA01). It should look like this:

6 - Refresh QCMA's Database;

7 - On Vita's Content Manager, copy the save file - in Patapon 2 case, both of them - from the PC to the Vita;
For that, choose "Copy Content from PC to PS Vita System", then "Applications", then, under "Saved Data": PSP™/Other", select the save file(s) and choose "Copy"

8 - Start the game and do what it takes to get the exploit working. This changes from game to game, so READ THE TEXT FILES included with the Save Files (as shown above) or search in Youtube for your specific game. In Patapon (1 or 2), only load the saved game (choose Continue and then choose the file) and it'll start the exploit;
9 - You'll eventually get to the Recovery Screen. Go to "Advanced" and "Install 6.60 Files". Once done, go back and Exit;
10 - To copy ISO files or Homebrews to your PS Vita, check these guides by The Z:
http://wololo.net/2013/12/18/tn-v4-how- ... nt-1-of-3/
http://wololo.net/2013/12/19/tn-v4-how- ... nt-2-of-3/
11 - Optional: remove 6.60.PBP from the Savefile's Folder and copy it back using Vita's CMA. You'll save about 30Mb from your Memory Card.
Now, you want the PS1 Exploit? Then read this tutorial: http://wololo.net/2014/09/14/how-to-usi ... 1-exploit/
To copy PS1 Eboots to your vita, follow the "How to Install Homebrews" tutorial that I've linked above.
I hope this solves most of the issues.
If you see a lost noob, refer to this tutorial. I'll try to solve their doubts.
By the way, I can understand Spanish and Portuguese. So if you have any doubts, ask me.
