Use QCMA or the OpenCMA patch. If the Vita has already seen there is an update then enable airplane mode and reset the vita before connecting with CMA.
it's a vita tv

any differences? (there's no airplane mode an no usb connection with qcma)

let's try

It seems we'll have to wait until some devs get their hands on Vita TV and face those issues to get a proper answer.
As it is, I have no idea other than putting the file through OpenCMA in a savefile and then moving it accordingly using PSPFiler. But I have no means to test that.

i, actually, managed to have the vitaftp back in the psp uploading it on speedyshare and downloading with the psp browser
now i was about to move the (ftp)recovery.pbp back in place but i'm wondering if PSPfiler can lunch pbp file
that way i could hold both recoverys.pbp (and eventually renaming them in a proper way) now that opencma doesn't work anymore with my firmware

EDIT:
moved the downloaded ftp to the right place in order boot it in the recovery menu and it doesn't work

so now i'm completely scr..ed é_é

This tutorial really is top shelf, especially for those noobish to the scene (such as myself)

I've read a little and I do wonder if the PSN exploit game aquisition was sort of glossed over as an "everyone just knows that" bit.

Myself, I have a new vita due to arrive this afternoon and I'm terribly hesitant to let it anywhere near wifi at all. (for fear of a dreaded FW update)

Perhaps a note or two or linkage (to another tutorial if needs be) to the various ways one should best buy/aquire the exploit games and prefered move methods to the Vita for

those with PS3s
those without

Perhaps its my noobishness but it seemed I needed to work that part of it out wisely as well or trouble may come.

Also, and just as an aside, does a PS3s firmware have any bearing on the PS3 when they are connected? Say I keep my PS3 fully compliant for PSPlus games/sales, would connecting the Vita to move content or whatnot cause issue?

Anyway, those were my thoughts, questions, and concerns. Hopefully useful to someone else. Look forward to any help offered.

No, connecting your Vita wouldn't matter as long as you use the openCMA trick you can transfer stuff from your PS3 to Vita!
