This tutorial will show you how to use the Android smartphone as a 3G router for PSVita and therefore allow your console to surf the Web where you were (depending on the 3G network ) without additional subscription .

What you need:
-A smatphone, for this tutorial, I used Samsung galaxy ace 2
-PS Vita Wifi or 3G but the interest is greatest with Wifi Version

On your smartphone :
-Go to Settings ant then to Wireless & networks,
-Scroll down the screen and then tap "Tethering & Portable Hotspot."
-Select "Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot."
-You will need enter these info :
enter the name of the router : you can put anything you want
enter the security: I prefer you choose WPA (TKIP)
Enter the password: It is the password that will protect the access point you're creating

On your PSVita :
-Go to Settings then Network then Wi-Fi settings.
-Your new access point will appear under "access points", choose it.
-Now enter the password you wrote when doing the access point and press OK.
You are now connected to internet for surfing internet, playing online, downloading ...

Here now if you keep the same settings and you leave your PSVita near your smartphone you have a 3G connection for your PSVita without paying subscription and more without a 3G PSVita .

This tutorial was absolutely unnecessary. It's pointless.

That's your opinion, but I am sure that a lot of people don't know that they can use their smatphone as a router and they are paying 2 subscriptions so I am sure it will help a lot of people.

O_o if you're with AT&T or Verizon, you should know that for this to work, you'll need a hotspot option, which they'll charge you an arm for...

and even if you're with T-Mob, you'll have to buy their phone, as this won't work on the newer phone since AT&T being **** about it and bootlocked their newest phone...

Also unlimited networks aren't truly unlimited. Many service providers who still have unlimited plans will cap your bandwidth speeds if you use too much data.

----

Straight talk is a company who does this, after I use around 3gb a month, my speeds slow down severely.

It's actually not tha easy, I had to download an app to enable it cause everytime I tried to enable it, it kept telling me it's checking a subscription for my service. But since I download an app that enables it by bypassing it I use it for my Galaxy S3(I have two phones) Only thing I can do is play certain games like Clash of Clans and get on Kik

I dunno why there's all this hate for this tutorial.
I have a sh*tty $30 Virgin Mobile smartphone, and this tutorial worked great.
Now I can update Near and play online when I'm traveling on the bus.
That's f**kin awesome. Thanks, man.
