Post by ponxpunks » Sat Mar 15, 2014 10:59 am

This my tutorial How to fix ps vita full drain
First things first you need a power supply and a screw driver and two needles the medium one..
Lets get started..

if the ps vita is fully drain even if you charge for about 8 hours nothing will happen.
1ST step:open your vita using screw driver
Image
just take off all the screw

after you remover all the screw open it from the top of the back

get the two needles just insert the two needles in the positive and negative terminal of the battery..you will see a red and black wire, red is positive black is the negative one

After you clip the two needles to the battery turn on the power supply turn it to 5 volts for just a few seconds just to have a power the battery

What do you mean fully drain? I'm just curious because I've never encountered this problem before. Even if the battery gets fully drained and the vita doesn't power on, after charging it for a few minutes, it does turn on.
But thanks anyway. This tutorial will be very helpful for those who have run into this problem. ;)

Basically what you are doing is charging it via an Ohmmeter ... Incredibly stupid and risky, you can easily cause a spike in excess 'energy' (pardon my lack of terminology) which will short out the Vita or the Ohmmeter. Seriously, it's not worth the risk. If you have a major issue where the battery isn't working or charging, just send it to Sony.

@ ponxpunks
If you fail to spoiler large images again, I will have to give you a warning.
This is the second time you posted large images and I had to spoiler them.
The first time was when you posted this in the sticky thread.

Im confused and concerned by this, even just at a safety to yourself level, one of your alligator clips doesn't appear to have shielding at all and even if this made sense there is no mention of amperage or anything just a random power supply. Sorry to just criticise but its genuinely concerning.

Im sure there is a point to this, but I haven't encountered this. My vita was dead flat as I got it secondhand from someone who thought it was broken but with a proper charger, even one not quite up to the task at a smaller 800ma was able to charge to full in a matter of a couple hours.

I just think surely this is a problem to someone, OP doesn't appear to have the best command of the english language and its a fair bit of effort to go to, for something utterly pointless and not funny. I've done similar things to my electronics before.

My cellphone for instance used to not charge at all if it was below 10 percent battery and turned off, so I used to just use a cut off usb cable jammed between the battery and its contacts to charge it, bypassing the protective circuits. Wasn't pretty or safe for the phone but it worked and was a life saver for me many a time.

My point being, although this could be unsafe, having thought about it overnight, I can see the merit in this if the same problem occurs in vitas as occurred in my phone, it just really should be explained that it could kill your vita if you aren't extremely careful and that this should be a very last resort unless you are some sort of daredevil.
