Hi there guys! Im trying to update an oldie vita (1.81) to 3.55 using qCMA because i cant get opencma to work. I already downloaded the 3.55 OFW files and im using the following XML:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<update_data_list>
<region id="us">
<np level0_system_version="01.600.000" level1_system_version="03.550.000" level2_system_version="03.550.000" map="01.800.000"/>
<version system_version="03.550.000" label="3.55">
<update_data update_type="full">
<image size="123644416">http://deu01.psp2.update.playstation.ne ... =us</image>
</update_data>
</version>
<recovery spkg_type="systemdata">
<image spkg_version="01.000.010" size="56756736">http://deu01.psp2.update.playstation.ne ... =us</image>
</recovery>
<recovery spkg_type="preinst">
<image spkg_version="01.000.000" size="128776704">http://deu01.psp2.update.playstation.ne ... =us</image>
</recovery>
</region>
</update_data_list>
Also, im using qCMA in offline mode with 1.80 CMA protocol and both files (.PUP and XML) into PSV Updates folder.
Basically my problem is that when i try to "Update by connecting to a PC" i get "The lastest version of the system software is already installed (C3-12049-6)".

Does anybody know what might i be doing wrong?

Thanks!

I just updated a system from 3.55 to 3.60 this is how since this tutorial is a little outdated.
FROM FW3.55 to FW3.60

Things you will need:
SonyCMA:
http://cma.dl.playstation.net/cma/modul ... ASetup.exe
OpenCMA r5:
http://wololo.net/download.php?f=OpenCMA_r5.zip
FIRMWARE FILES (specifically OFW 3.60.zip)
https://mega.nz/#F!4UIDBTYA!MsemZea_bB- ... A!UJ4TSSBZ

Step 1:
Install SonyCMA

Step 2:
unzip the contents OpenCMAr5.zip into the install path of SonyCMA
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Sony\Content Manager Assistant\"
run the .bat file
This will patch SonyCMA

Step 3:
unzip OFW3.60.zip files
move the file "psp2-updatelist.xml" into this path
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Sony\Content Manager Assistant\"
It will ask you to overwrite the previous "psp2-updatelist.xml" just click OK

ON YOUR PSVITA:
Step 4:
Disable your Wifi and out the Vita into Airplane mode
Reboot the Vita

Step 5:
Open the CMA program at your PC and put the Vita usb cable into the Vita and the PC. Open the settings app at your PS Vita and click at the "system update" option.
Choose the "update via PC" option and your Vita should be able to find the target firmware.

thats it ;)
thanks jack52032 for the files you are a life saver

I am not able to update to 3.60. I still keep getting errors even after trying multiple times.

Open the Settings app
Select “Network”
Select “Wi-Fi Settings”
If you are not connected to the internet, do so now. Select your current connection (there should be a green dot to the left).
Select “Advanced Settings”
Under “DNS Settings” choose “Manual”
Under “Primary DNS” set it to 212.47.229.76
Leave “Secondary DNS” blank. Make sure “Proxy Server” is set to “Do Not Use”. Press OK.
Back out to the main settings screen. Select “System Update” and then “Update Using Wi-Fi.”
If you get an error saying your system is up to date, that means either your Vita is on 3.60 already or your Vita is > 3.60 and is not supported by HENkaku
Otherwise you will see a pop-up saying there is a new update. Make sure the message says “3.60 (変革 Compatible)”! If the message does not say that, do not proceed and try to repeat these steps to see if you missed something.
After ensuring you are updating to “3.60 (変革 Compatible)”, proceed with the steps on screen to update.
After updating to 3.60, you can follow steps 1-5 again and then set “DNS Settings” to “Automatic”
Does it quit? If not, then it's legit... Too legit.
