I'd recently seen an article on how Game Genie found a vulnerability in the PS Vita's [remote play] WiFi transmission; which allowed access to partially decrypted game data, (mainly savedata), so as this question follows - is any of this a possibility?
If Game Genie can modify Battlefield, Tomb Raider and GTA V money on PS4 savedata via the WiFi signal from remoteplay, then what are the possibilities of the GZ companion app allowing further access into the PS4 (since we can modify the .apk android app).
I have no idea how to follow up on any of this myself, but if more of the right people discover the possibilities, there will be more chances of advances in the PS4/Vita scene.
I also have no idea how the remoteplay WiFi save data/ game data hack is performed, but an explanation would be awesome. I've only just started looking into ARM/x86, C++, java, to attempt a better understanding than I did years ago as a kid, so I really hope to be able to provide to the scene someday in the future; being able to follow up on things like this myself, and informing the community of the progress. Thanks for your time.
