So I have a unique issue

Thanks to Sony's 5.0 update the cobbled together PS4 I built from used parts is rendered useless thanks to the 5.0 update requiring a working and married Blu Ray drive

So Now im stuck on 4.74

Is there hope for the future that hacks can somehow give me a way around this? Maybe even potentially marrying the current drive to the Motherboard?

Sucks having it as a paperweight but i wanted to consider potential options before coughing up money

I'm still stuck on 4.74 for the same reason.
