Hi there I was just walking around Big W. And I saw a PS4 Slim. Did I miss the annuncement.????

Yeah you're about a month late to the party. Counting leaks roughly two to three months haha. You also probably missed the ps4 pro as well, that ugly POS has more processing power than normal consoles. And is super ugly.

Oh, but the pro is not out just yet, about a month to go. Slim released a month ago though.

Slapping one more slab makes it "super ugly"? It looks the same just slightly bigger IMHO :/

Well the PS4 is pretty ugly to begin with, so that's where my bias comes into play. All current gen systems are ugly as sin. I miss the curved edges. I love the PS4, but I've never found it visually appealing.

Same I never liked the slanted design very much.

What exactly is the difference between them? This will be my first console, as I`ve said, so I do not know much in this area. I will also be grateful if you will help me to determine the choice, maybe there are other options. All I know about PS I drew on the wiki https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Video_game_console
I will also be grateful for the advice on what exactly needs to be paid attention when choosing. Thank you in advance, sorry for the fact that I'm noob)

PS4 and PS4 Slim are basically the same, with some minor differences, you could consider the PS4 Pro.
