general noob questions about ps4

i got a ps4, firmware version 2.51.

so if i connect to the net via wifi, does it update the firmware and if yes, can i deactivate this?

can i access the psn store with this firmware?

can i access the internet with this firmware?

can i dowload game patches with this firmware?

do disc games force a firmware update to play and if yes, is there a list with what firmware is requiered by which game? (especially interested if i can play fallout 4 on this firmware)

sorry if this has been discussed before, but i'm new and don't want to spend 3 hours searching through the forum for most probably simple questions, that can be answered here in a minute by an expert. thanks in advance

Just connecting to the wifi will not auto download an update, but updates will auto download if you leave the system on in rest mode. I don't know if it will auto install updates but unless you uncheck the automatic downloads option under settings > system > automatic downloads it will auto download the system update files. If you wanted to be super safe you can always uncheck stay connected to internet while on rest mode under settings > power save settings > set functions available in rest mode.

Kind of. The web browser will not work unless you connect to PSN but there is a couple round about methods to get on the internet without PSN access posted here: viewtopic.php?f=66&t=45161

Yes

Yes they will and I can all but guarantee you Fallout will require at least 3.00 to run. I'm sure there is a firmware requirement list somewhere online but I don't know off hand.

Is this confirmed. I could be wrong and Im only guessing but the way I saw it, if the newer files in game patches are signed with newer keys wouldn't they fail to run on older firmware, similar to how newer games wont run?
