PlayStation Eye Required?

I Think i remember reading or hearing that you need the PlayStation Eye in order to play your PS4 games. From what i can tell from Gamestop and amazon the PlayStation Eye does not come with the PS4 so is it true that we have need the PlayStation Eye or is it just a rumor.

yeah well, fact of the matter is you don't need the ps4 eye, it doesn't even come bundled with the system

PSP didn't com bundled with MemorySticks or data cables, doesn't mean you don't need one. Vita doesn't come with any memory cards by default either, even though you really need it.
Regardless, PS4 won't require the eye thing to work, for now at least.

ahem... there are games that save to the cartridges so you dont need a memory card
(tho most do in fact need one >__<)

I said accesory, not an essential piece of hardware that you forcely need
