PS Plus Required for Online Multiplayer: Its still worth $50

The game devs deciding if PSN+ is required to play online seems an overly convoluted way to do it.
Sounds like they want to be a subscription game or have an online pass, but are trying to find another way to do it.

There will always be people who purchase the game but don't have a subscription. It's a shame to exclude them from populating the playstation network. I'm quite disappointed by the decision, but people seem happy enough.

I'm still swooning over ff15 and mgs5 though.

I personally believe PS Plus being required is a good thing, but should only be the only subscription based way to play online. EA quit using online-passes. So no worries about Battlefield (EA was known for online-passes).

Hopefully, this all turns out to be something better than anticipated. Because I hope I don't have to pay for online passes again. Hopefully GaiKai comes with PS Plus
