What Can Microsoft Learn From PS4's Unveil?

Post by Minimur12 » Mon Feb 25, 2013 9:19 pm

The other day the PS4 was unveiled, by Andrew House President of SCEA. to which there was many controversies, some didn't like the controller, some did. Some were *** they saw no console, some didn't care (it was there, it's just the worlds first invisible console.)

My favourite part was when it listed the amazing features, the share button was the most amazing I thought.
But for Microsoft to win over Sony they really need to pull their finger out, By this I mean with features that aren't the same, I doubt Microsoft have even dreamed about the stuff PS4 can do.

But Microsoft seriously need to up their game to beat Sony's conference, which was amazing, seriously focused and they listed what it can do, along with the specs and how they didn't ramble on about the apps etc. They showed what it can do, and then showcased it with videos like these;
Sony let all guns loose at the conference, by showing a sh*t load of games, ranging from calm 'The Witness' to violent& neck stabby KLLZONE: ShadowFall to free for all, climber Infamous: Second Son so they really have a game for every person with no excuse to not get one (providing it's not big bucks).

But this is the downside. whatever PS3 games you own, PS2 and PS1 on PSN will not be compatible with your past purchases, but hopefully Gaikai will be our answer if it merges with your PSN account.

But remember, the CEO of Gaikai even said that this would not happen day 1.
Like I said, people were *** because the only bit of hardware they saw was the controller, but that was the thing that has had alot of speculation and leaks around it, so i would rather knowing what the controller looked like as soon as possible, we've got the specs, the console is just a case :lol: ,although it is still most likely to be showed at E3, which I will be watching.

Yes, XBOX and Sony's.

What game do you want?

Will you be getting a PS4 ?

Fun Facts ;

The PS4 is invisible

The original PS3's didn't have Dualshock rumble

Yeah these games are cool, but I want some FIFA, a PS console without FIFA? :o What about Need for Speed, Call of Duty, WipEout, & NBA? Maybe they will be released later, because home consoles are usually more popular than portables. (PSX > PSone - PS2 > PSP - PS3 > PSPgo, PS Vita - PS4 > PS Vita (4G)?
BTW Microsoft have always stealed from everyone (Sony, Apple, Linux, Samsung, Google, Nintendo, LG) at least one thing. The only thing they have done most by themselves is Office.

didn't I told you already not to have the word "microsoft" so close to the word "learn"? it endangers the space-time continuum and can cause a permanent hole. The minimum separation between these two words must be about 7 paragraphs, and most experts agree to leave around two pages to be on the safe side

The PSN will be like YouTube. The video is physically stored on a server and your pc runs the resolution selected, since processing is done on YouTubes side you dont need the BEST hardware to watch 1080p videos.

That being said. When you watch a video, it's only downloading when you use it - same deal with psn games. they wont be downloaded on a single screen waiting to download a whole 20gb+ game... instead it will only download the files it needs while you play that game.

The server not only gives you the ability to download games and stream butttt you can run games off the physical server which are extremely powerful compared to your ps3/4 that can run backwards emulation flawlessly. I see backward compatability as being stream and non download only.

With the option of streaming you can download games in the background if you want full up front downloads. This way you're not looking at a download progress bar [Can not download content in Background] just to find out you didnt even like the game XD

Without server power, xbox relys only on its hardware/software.

patent patent patent patent patent patent patent (:
Guize I can haz kernal cuz i got purtty cmd window to say stuffs.
