Enter the Grungeon, Assault Android Cactus and Crypt of the Necrodancer are three really fun local coop games. None of these are particularly easy and not sure if I'd recommend for a kid, but all are really fun.

As far as I know, none of these are really well known either, at least on PS4. Assault android cactus would've been if people actually voted for a good game last time, screw broforce.

Oh, a few more. Never Alone would be a really good kid friendly game, Spelunky, Sportsfriends, and Thief Town. I'll keep going through my game list to see if I can find any more, but those should keep you plenty busy in the mean time.

I forgot Broforce, Borderlands and Child of Light.

Earth Defense Force 4.1: The Shadow of New Despair.

Action, shooting, bugs, cool guns, tons of missions, local co-op, hilarious outcomes.

Tons of fun and a real gem in the midst of so much online focus.

One of the best gems I've ever come across in any console. Beautiful and colorful 2D graphics, truly a joy to play.



Bullet the dog is OP tho

Rocket League, Borderlands, and Don't Starve Together are my go to games for co-op.

1) Sword Art Online is nice, but if you`re not a fan of this anime or the novel this game might be boring.

2) Don`t starve is really awesome. It is a bit hard at the beginning to adapt to the gameplay and understand all the craft system (what is necessary for you and what not) but after several plays, you should love it. Especially it is fun to play with friends in Don't Starve Together. The best thing for me - is the ability to try different characters with different stats and powers(this really influences the game)

3) Mortal Combat is the immortal game, I think words are useful.
4) Borderlands - perfect. No doubt - one of my favorite games. I`ve used to play it with my best friends while was studying at the university. Very colorful, interesting story and characters. Try it!
