tranfer game PS3 to PS VITA

Good evening everybody,

I go to a colleague tonight to transfer the Numblast his ps3 game to my PS Vita, but I have a problem.

1) I create a profile on the ps3 colleague.
2) I have Login to the psn with username and password of my account on the ps3.
3) I Numblast download the game on PS3.
4) I connect the PS Vita with the USB cable.
5) I opened the Content Manager on the ps vita.
6) connect the PS set on demand and selected USB.

And the problem appears "Updating the system software" on PS VITA.

Please how can it work without updating the PS VITA.

My PS Vita is 3.36 firmware.

I even spend my vita in airplane mode and then switched off and then on again, but this does not change the problem.

Thank you for your aid because there I am lost.

Getting a exploit game (or any other content) on to your Vita via OpenCMA PS3 trick

1. Look in the Playstation Store for an exploit game (or other content) that is working on your OFW.
2. Download it to your PS3 and leave it in the bubble.
3. Connect your PS Vita with your PC via Open CMA.
4. Remove the Vitas USB cable and plug it on to your PS3 (Leave the usb still plugged into the port thats on the Vita.) (Dont close out the error message if you get one, until its plugged into the PS3)
5. Copy exploit game (or other content) on to your Vita.

Because I have a doubt after connecting the PS3 and PS Vita USB chosen and that this wonder making jour.Merci for your answers.

Mercenary09 solution works. But there is a little catch.

You have to use the version of Open CMA that matches you Vita firmware version. If it doesn't match, then you might not be able to connect to the PC or it will ask you to update the Vita firmware version. I personally prefer QCMA, it has the option to toggle between the CMA Protocol version. Especially useful, if you have multiple Vita will different firmware version.

The purpose for connecting the Vita to PC first is to bypass the message to update the Vita firmware. So that when you disconnect from PC and connect to PS3 it won't ask you to update. If you connect directly to PS3 first with USB, then you cannot bypass the message.

This method only allow you to connect to PS3 to download stuff already downloaded to the PS3. It doesn't allow you to access PS Store. This method assume that your PS3 is OFW and is connected to PSN too.

Yes you are correct the PS3 or I want to connect my VITA is not hacked and up to date on the latest firmware.

Only my VITA is 3.36 and I do not want to update.

There is alternate method to connect PSTV to PS3 to activate/download game. But still require PC. I use this method for my PSTV since there is no USB connection on it. Maybe it will work for the Vita also. It might be just slower to download stuff through wifi compared to usb.

1. Connect to PS3 to your PSN account and download game.
2. On PC, download VitaUpdateBlocker and run it. It should display an IP address and Port#.
3. On Vita, goto the Network settings->Advanced Settings and enable "Use Proxy". Enter the IP address and Port# in the Vita Proxy settings.
4. On the safe side, shutdown and restart the Vita.
5. On Vita, start "Content Manager" and choose to connect to the PS3 via Wfi directly (no need to connect to PC first).

You should be able to download game from PS3 without updating firmware.

Yes that's another solution, but I do not have in my possession are PSTV colleague or I will.
