CFW PS3 has just arrived!

Post by Daniel_Davies85 » Fri May 09, 2014 7:44 pm

So I finally got round to buying a PS3 and I bought one which has CFW already installed and has been pulled apart and had Arctic Silver 5(?) put into it, which I assume helps with cooling.

Now, it has CFW Rogero 4.46 and Multiman version 4.50.01

All of which I have no idea about.

What I'm looking for right now is information on how to:

A; Make, transfer and play PS1/2 isos.

And B; play psp/ps vita games via my vita on the PS3 without having to use one save file on the PS3 and a different one on the VITA.

I'm not sure if B is possible but I hope it is.

So, any help or advice would be greatly appreciated,
Dan.

For ps2 iso's you need to upgrade your CFW to cobra firmware. either, HABIB COBRA 4.55 or Rogreo 4.46 COBRA.

My advise is going with habib cobra 4.55, google it and how to update.

Immensely. Now what if tools to make CFW PS3s more simplistic weren't around?

artic silver has a 200hour break in period of 20 min cycles be fore it starts working right and a 4 year lifespan
you would have been better off using mx4 or mx6,both work much better and cure in as little as 20 min and 8 year lifespan,so you can run a 20 hour campaign night as soon as you have it put back together.

plus mx4/6 are much easier to clean out if you ever open the system back up

ps2 isos look for a program called ps2 to ps3
psp isos will only use the local storage for saves, but psp2ps3 will help you on the convertion, but remember not all psp games work on the ps3, if you need help there's a thread on it in the forums
hopfully one of the mods is nice enough to post a link
and eating thrifty maid noodles because of it......seriously!?! off brand noodles.....ouch i got burned by tech support.....ouch........

I bought it having already been modded to have CFW and the guy used Arctic Silver. To be honest, if it only lasts 4 years I'm not gonna be too fussed as I'll have had my money's worth by then.

Thanks for all the other info, I'll be checking it out in the not too distant future.

Dan.
