Cobra Usb

Post by wolfieboy1997 » Tue Apr 15, 2014 6:45 pm

Ok not sure if this is in the right section forgive me if its not. But to my topic, I have been wanting to purchase the cobra usb but my ps3 slim is on the most recent firmware and I am not sure if the cobra usb would work with it. I have searched numerous times online and I cant find anything to help and anytime I do a compatibility search all I get is psp compatibility list. So if any one knows if the Cobra usb is usable with my ps3 could you please help. I have searched other post but could not find what i as looking for, so sorry if this is been asked before.

It won't work on your PS3 since it's on latest official FW but you can do research on Cobra ODE, it maybe compatible with your PS3 slim.

Or you could check if that PS3 can be downgraded to 3.55 then for the same if not lower price of that ODE have it downgraded(or downgrade it yourself) and install a CFW

There are solderless solutions but you will have to look those up cause I don't remember names and even if you buy a downgrade service its still going to be cheaper then an ODE plus you can do far more with CFW

aren't like 90% of optical drive EMUs solderless?

but anyway I'd go with a busted PS3 for something like 50 bucks, fix it and put a CFW.

I have no idea how they work but just think about what can be done with CFW while what can be done with an ODE

rebug is combining with the cobra software in there next cfw release
sony just keeps releasing new ofw before rebug team can release there new cfws and have to start over...
and they want 1 fw to support not 16 of them like most of the others

at least thats what i got form this article back in feb
http://psx-scene.com/forums/content/reb ... 4-55-4201/
and eating thrifty maid noodles because of it......seriously!?! off brand noodles.....ouch i got burned by tech support.....ouch........
