warranty stickers can be removed and reused with a hair dryer or heat gun with easelacrimosaangel wrote:No, both had warranty seals intact before they were opened by us... Power PSU on one was faulty and started working fine once replaced and the other apparently had a faulty disk drive. Both put into the cupboard and forgotten about until recently, when it was discovered that both boards have stopped working
also they sell them online for about $15 -20 for 50 of them
here is a site i used to use for them
http://www.iphoneaircases.com/labels/
though i must say that you should NOT use them to lie about work on a ps3, i usually write the date and work done on the tops of the bd drives with a sharpie, and always tell buyers what the ps3 has had repaired in my shop
i have proven that game stop will use these replacement warranty stickers and lie that used systems have never been worked on...but that's more of an issue with how BestBuy runs they're sub companies
(best buy! the electronic geeks that don't know what a soldering iron/gun is lol)
the sticker is really just for me to tell if they open it back up after they take it out of my shop and voided my warranty of 1year repair or replacement if used and maintained properly
if any fat has the original warranty sticker on it, its way past due for a cleaning and thermal paste replacement( do NOT use arctic silver #5- it will not conduct heat properly till it cures after 200 hours of 20-30min break in cycles)
slim 1000's though 2500's are coming to that age too now and should be done as well
ps::sorry about the long rant and late reply, been sick and busy
