Bluetooth/IR remote cech-zrc1u port under label.

Does anyone know what the port under the label of the cech-zrc1u ps3 BT/IR remote is for? I'm personally hoping it is for programming ir codes to the remote. Sorry about the camera quality, I used my Vita to take them.

UPDATE: The 3rd picture wasn't clear enough, so I took the remote apart to get a better shot of the contacts.
Keep in mind there are holes under the label to access this without taking the remote apart.
