playstation now beta test report (now with YouTube vid)

Got the second email from Sony with the code to download the playstation now app. Beginning testing with my connection first. Will test as various friend's houses to gather a wide range of results.

Playstation Now appears under the PSN section.
(As mentioned by fate, adding in speed number cause I forgot :P)

My speed 5 down 1 up
First friend's house 10 down 1 up (tests will be run soon)

First run of app... New firmware needed, 4.53. Adds in more options for video playback.
Second run... One update found and installed. Now loading app...

OMG! Amazing is what I got to call this right now. I'm having some problems with my net right now and I'm having no problems currently trying out Dead or Alive 5 right now :P

It gives a message with your connection degrades and does a really good job of handling dropping down quality to compensate for your network. Currently getting se break-ups in the signal and I can notice some compression in parts of the menus and logos. Other than that for running on my crappy net, it's going pretty good right now.

Well thats good to hear but how do you select games? is it a list? I assume its just a list for the beta

Will fix up my first post after much testing... Just all excited due to trying all this out :P

I got it as well... i was able to stream the games at its highest quality :) because i have fast internet.
there are a multiple of games. One of them is Dead Island Riptide.... i played it for quite a while and the lag was minimal but still noticeable... i played for about an hour before the servers started to bug out and cause the game to glitch... it definitely is still in beta ...lol
