Genuine PAL PS2 on NTSC-J PS3

Hey guys.

Recently got a PS3, got rebug 4.46 on it, got multiman, etc. It's NTSC-J however, and is there any way to play my genuine PS2 PAL games on my PS3? Thanks.

EDIT: A workaround is to use PS2 Classics on Multiman which doesn't use genuine discs but does play any region + more inconvenient.

However, I'm working on an app that changes the region of your PS3.

swop magic still works with ps3, they even improved the hdd access at one point to make it work with external hdds on the ps3

i haven't looked into it in a few years but ive seen it used to run kh remix off a hdd on a na console

or you can do the swop trick for the old ps3 systems, i believe there were special drive tops made to accommodate the swopping trick, sense ps3 doesn't do redundancy checks for ps2 security after the first check after inserting the game disk from the front
