Thanks,atleast I know I don't have to update. And no,I know it doesn't work that way. I havn't actually had a ps3 with cfw for well over a year but I still remember playing all my "back-ups" through multiman.

Yes, you need to be on the latest firmware.

No, there is no right stick on the PSP and theres no way to implement it without completely remaking the entire game.

OK I know I am late to the game and doubt I will get some help but I'm going to ask, a while back someone was telling me how to unpack a ps3.pkg and add in a ps1 something to get it to boot as if I was playing a a ps1 classic game. Does anyone know how to do this and what I need to do? That k you for the help

Google Aldo's Tools.
It's multiple Windows apps built together, and one of them is a PS1 to PS3 PKG converter.
It also has PS2 to PS3 and PSP to PS3
