Couple questions about PS3 and Vita
As the title says, I have a couple questions regarding a PS3 I'm ordering over ebay with Rogero 4.40 1.3 firmware and my Vita that's still on 2.02 with the Uno exploit. I'm really interested in the remote play/cross play feature and I've heard it works on all games with CFW. Does my vita need to be on the newest firmware to take advantage of those features? I know how Sony loves to force you to update for absolutely no reason. Another question I have is with playing PSP games on the PS3. If you can play them with the second analog stick like how you can on the Vita. Thanks.

I hear it's amazing when the famous purple stuffed worm in flap-jaw space with the tuning fork does a raw blink on Hara-Kiri Rock. I need scissors! 61!

Yes, you need to be on the latest firmware.Randysteele992 wrote:I'm really interested in the remote play/cross play feature and I've heard it works on all games with CFW. Does my vita need to be on the newest firmware to take advantage of those features?
No, there is no right stick on the PSP and theres no way to implement it without completely remaking the entire game.Randysteele992 wrote:I know how Sony loves to force you to update for absolutely no reason. Thanks, and I know there's no second stick on the psp. I may have worded that wrong. I meant if it was possible to set the d-pad, face buttons or L and R buttons as the second analog like you can on the vita with psp games.SMOKE wrote:Yes, you need to be on the latest firmware.Randysteele992 wrote:I'm really interested in the remote play/cross play feature and I've heard it works on all games with CFW. You can also map the right stick to different buttons
Just hold your finger on the Vita screen when in a PSP game, and go from there

Thats because you have to be able to access PSN, and if your not on the latest firmware, you cant connect.stoneskull wrote:why does the vita need to be on the latest firmware?

Re: Couple questions about PS3 and Vita
if your PS3 is on any CFW then yes you can remote play them and no the Vita does not have to be on the latest FW
(done it with a 3.55 Rebug PS3 and a 1.81 Vita)
(this was awhile ago BTW)

Re: Couple questions about PS3 and Vita
Really? Back when I was on 1.81, I had to have access to PSN, thus needing to be on the latest firmware

Re: Couple questions about PS3 and Vita
no, your vita dose not have to be on the latest firmware. You just have to register your vita to your ps3, then you connect threw private network instead of internet connection.(you need to be signed in to PSN to use it over the internet). But by using private network, you don't need to sign in to PSN.
Also, you have to have a back manager with games on your ps3 hard drive to load your ps3 games. you cant just pop a disk in and play it on your vita.
