The judge has granted the Temporary Restraining Order against Geohot, meaning all his hardware just got impounded. Poor Geohot just lost the tools he uses to make a living, as well those he uses to unlock our devices in the name of open source/homebrew.
This times well with 3.56 which blacklists all known CFWs etc (and bricks unless you downgrade to 3.55 OFW before upgrading apparently). KaKaRoTo has been quick to update the ps3utils and ps3tools, hopefully this will help to prove that Sony's court case to seek enjoinment is futile!
I haven't had time to read the latest court papers, but as far as I know there is to be a further hearing over the question of jurisdiction (Sony want to trial Geohot in California because its their home in US?).
