[RELEASE] ByePass - POPS / HB Launcher for FW 3.50

Post by Rinnegatamante » Tue Apr 21, 2015 5:33 pm

Hi guys,
according to new 3.50 fw limitations on PSVITA i decided to make a little plugin using my LUA interpreter ( http://www.wololo.net/talk/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=38493 ) to solve this problem.

Thanks to ByePass you can easily install and use your homebrews/psx games without converting them to ISO.

Little installation and usage tutorial:
- Install VITA FTP on your PSVITA as RECOVERY.PBP (Tutorial: viewtopic.php?f=56&t=42441 )
- Start VITA FTP and connect your PC to your PSVITA.
- Create seplugins, HB and PSX folders in the root of your PSVITA.
- Place your homebrews folder and psx games folder in HB and PSX (EBOOT.PBP must be renamed in FBOOT.PBP)
- Place vsh.txt, script folder and lpp.prx in seplugins.
- Restart VSH.
- Press R to start ByePass while you are in XMB.
- Launch psx.lua for PSX titles and hb.lua for Homebrew titles.

Note: You can switch between psx.lua and hb.lua by pressing Circle button.
Download can be found on my homepage: http://www.rinnegatamante.it

Please note that not all homebrews are compatible with this "trick".

Just tried it out, and it seems to work perfectly! Everything worked without a hitch :) Thank you very much for this plugin! Tested this with Snes9xTYL.

I used QCMA instead of FTP. I had to put vsh.txt and lpp.prx in my INSTALL.ZIP because they didn't copy over otherwise. Then I put everything in the right spots with PSP Filer.

I got Crash Team Racing booted, but it hung at the SCEA screen with the game's audio files playing, due to the SPU flaws, which I kind of expected.

Do the PSOne Loader exploits still work on 3.50? And does PSOne Loader only read from PSP/GAME?

@Jgr9: It's a common issue of CTR with PeOPS: viewtopic.php?t=38744
