Are TN-V and TN-X Dead?

Post by ambrosjb » Tue Sep 23, 2014 1:50 pm

I've seen a few posts over the last couple of days that seem to insinuate that TN will not be releasing TN-V w/ popsloader or TN-X. Is this a true statement? Again, I will not even pretend to know what happened between TN, Acid_Snake and qwikrazor. Between some of the posts here and twitter seems like there's a lot of animosity between all 3. It's a shame that some of these things were killed midflight... I for one was really looking forward to TN-V11 w/ popsloader and TN-X seems to have a lot of great potential as well. I've seen a lot of negative posts towards TN, but at least he took the time and effort to push out regular updates to TN-V to the public. I know that Acid_Snake and qwikrazor also played integral parts with their user and kxploits, so I thank them as well. Without HBL or TN-V I probably wouldn't even own a Vita at the moment. I think the holy grail of a native Vita kxploit or even usermode will change some of that. But in the meantime, I'm still thankful for what we have with TN-V and now TN-X. Can't we all just get along? :D

Everything is going according to plan, i think. I mean scene is open for everyone, for every developer who can and want to hack/build/research something. There is always people, who can, if not TN, then someone else do (but anyway i'm respect every developer and TN, that spent their own time for vita/eCFW hacks development). Only one bad thing - as i know TN-V (not only ps1 sound plugin) is not contain public open source code, am i right? (ARK have open source code?) So would be nice to have one. If developer wants to end his "business" on vita scene, then just release open source code - this is best what he/anyone can do. Just to be kinda nice person to the community, i think.

i wish they get released some day.

It would be great if TN-V included popsloader and PRO Online if he decides to continue to develop. if i stretch my dream, i would like to have network iso loading support.

and about TN-X, a cool menu, plugin support (save states, button remapping plugins) would be great again if he decides to continue.

even if TN-V and TN-X aren't developed anymore, i am really in debt to Total_Noob. TN-V and TN-X are the reasons my vita gets used.

New info from TN: http://youtu.be/0qiGiiZGgeo
Published on Jan 2, 2015 wrote:Hi, here's Total_Noob, first of all, I'm still here, but not back to the scene (yet). I just want to show you some cool stuff on my Vita.
Secondly I want to explain you guys why I often appeared/disappeared. There are people who think that I just want some drama or attention, but this is not true. I have never said by myself that I want to leave the scene, no there were always people who shouted out loud these things and made them public.
Of course when you don't hear anything from me for a long time it means that I am busy. I don't always have time for PSP/PS Vita, so I just sit quiet in the background.
But the last time there was a reason why I disappeared. Acid_Snake leaked two of my kernel exploits plus the PS1 exploit on which I worked the most...who wouldn't be angry? I was *** off because the scene was even happy about the leaks and didn't know its damage.
In addition I made many haters, particularly The Zett this ugly **** shouts out loud that I'm a *** because I don't share my TN-V source code? WTF?! It's my own project on which I worked for 3 years and this ****, who can not even write a single line of code, thinks that he can insult me? I'm the only one who can decide what to do with my own written code.
Just saying...

Back to the video. As I can now play PS1 games again I can finally forget the leak Acid_Snake did.

The 3.35 PS1 Loader is planned to be released some time, maybe this coming spring or summer (when the moment is right). But only if The Zett and other haters leave me in peace.
Also it is planned to upgrade the current PSX Loader to add plugins support, support for more than 16 games, Playstation TV support (this will be released earlier).
Btw, if anybody can donate me a Playstation TV I can fix the control bug faster. I already tried to, but it's a weird problem where remote testing is difficult.

Anyways, happy new year! Yeah, it's a bit late to say :P

Honestly what this boils down to is, TheZett continued to use TN's work, despite TN embedding a malicious code to prevent TheZett from doing just that. TN was then slandered over how the code could have malfunctioned and attack random users (it never did). Some certain scene members decided to modify TN-V and remove"TheZett attack code".

Now I don't get the argument really that happened between TheZett and TN (I wasn't there), but I think it had something to do with TN not open sourcing TN-V. It then escalated to both of them disrespecting each-other and acting very childish.

I'm sure TN was angered that he couldn't prevent a "tester" from using his code. He was also angry that a fellow coder modified his work to allow TheZett access. Also I'm sure he was still aggravated over the Acid_Snake leak.

If you ask me TN left the scene (again) to be spiteful to TheZett, if he can't prevent TheZett from using his work, then he will just release nothing at all.

So to this feud we essentially still have a tester, just one less developer. This wasn't meant to be a flame post or anything, I watch TheZett's videos, and he has (for the most part) been relatively respectful to me. I just wish we could all get along and not worry about stupid little feuds like this.
Does it quit? If not, then it's legit... Too legit.
