Great accomplishment by TN.
But basically at this point its safe to say 99% of games are either not working/working with major issues.
It seems that the main issue has to do with lag/fps drops.

Lets see if TN can find a way around this, otherwise i think this emulated sound isnt gonna be a viable option for most.

GL TN :D

How about more detailed semi-table simple system like:

Final Fantasy 8
[spoiler]

Code: Select all

STR vid sound - SFX effects - Speech snd - Background music
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
YES/NO YES/NO YES/NO YES/NO

note: Frame rate is less than half, I've tried playing three times, first time crashed on launching, second time made it to the loading screen (sound worked) then crashed, last time managed to load game and run around (really slowly) but crashed when battle started. All three times had to reset my vita to get back to the psp menu. Crashes when loading with tn savestate and trying to go back to xmb
Settings: All at fastest.
Cos some games like Silent HIll will work with STR sounds and mute in game. some games like Barbie Explorer will not play Speech sound and broken STR sounds, but other music and effects just fine or perfect, so, what do you guys think about this system? I will post more results later. Also maybe sometimes we can cut some parts of sound archive from games if they are failed to play, but other sounds inside plays just fine.

Driver - You Are The Wheelman, audio perfect but video very choppy. FIFA World Cup 2002 locks up at title screen. Chessmaster 11 perfect! Destruction Derby seems ok. Duke 3d (both episodes)- video perfect but audio choppy. Thnx for all the hard work but have gone back to TN V8 for the mo. Would it be possible in any future update to turn off the PS1 audio plugin when not required?

Alundra (Pal) works but is a bit laggy at first. When talking to an NPC it goes very laggy. And when entering a building/room it goes black screen and does nothing else. The music continues to play but I waited a good 10 minutes and nothing came back.
