yifanlu is the only dev I have faith for in this scene.CPUzX wrote:Just to stick on topic - I have my faith in Yifanlu, over Katsu.

possibly as a means of telling you "you can do this!" if you want it so badtinostar91 wrote: but he acts more or less like SKFU did, "HEY! LOOK WHAT I HAVE AND YOU DON'T!". If it's not his exploit then why the heck does he even upload it? To feel better about himself? I think so if his video description only says his name and his website without even mentioning anything else at all..
i ported xmb in the epsp before tn even talked about tnv to show it was possible to do yourself if you just do it, why should it be a crime to show what possible when you want to do something? i don't share any of my work(or ask for others work) , for the sole reason that if it has a bug i don't have to worry about it bricking someone Else's system or deal with them risking the possibly of losing they're exploit game's data and license or any other odd issue they have that doesn't have anything to do with my work.
im not against reading what they have to say on things if they wish to tell but im not going to wait on them or hound them to do it.
the only selfish reason for not releasing is the fact that Sony wont patch it until it becomes a problem for them, witch only happens if they change it to work with newer software or it gets exploited on the open market
i don't go asking for others free labor, it not hard to do all this stuff, just start reading and looking around and poke and prod till you get an understanding of it, you have plenty of free time in life that cant be changed, so use it to read and better yourself
as for if you guys think im fake or not doesn't even bother me ether way,i have a good life that im happy to be a part of and you guys can watch this!!!! only the stupid waste they're free time waiting on others to do something, the driven use it to make it them selves, only better!!!

To be fair SKFU didn't really strut anything publicly, atleast nothing that wasn't done already by Yifanlu.tinostar91 wrote: he acts more or less like SKFU did, "HEY! LOOK WHAT I HAVE AND YOU DON'T!".

he teased the **** out of the community with dumb little "hacks", but when he figured out he couldn't bypass the 30-day license renewal he resorted to selling the devkitsJd8531 wrote:To be fair SKFU didn't really strut anything publicly, atleast nothing that wasn't done already by Yifanlu.tinostar91 wrote: he acts more or less like SKFU did, "HEY! I just don't like to badmouth devs, or anyone in general. I am a respectful person, and was raised to be respectful. I may lash out here and there but usually it's for good reason. Katsu may not be releasing anything, but at least he try's and shows his POC. Even his HDMI mod could lead to a another service to implement a HDMI output commercially. Either way I respect his work.

Not to mention his tinkering with the Vita game cart. It could lead to backups one day, like I said before, at least he's trying.

we forgive but we never forget
Re: Katsu sTrikes back
yeah i don't think he was quite expecting to have to pay a service fee to use the Dev kit lol, dboyz wrote:Owh yea, suddenly remember SKFU's crowdfunding for Vita devkitAcid_Snake wrote: he teased the **** out of the community with dumb little "hacks", but when he figured out he couldn't bypass the 30-day license renewal he resorted to selling the devkits& then we barely hear anything about it from him
hes not the first to try that wrought though.
i was totally waiting on his comments about it when i heard he was trying to get one.
PlayStation learned from the other branches of sony on that one,

Re: Katsu sTrikes back
This is incorrect, The Vita needs a license renewal which is done via the Vita neighborhood by the admin of your studio or division simply remotely activating themjd20dog wrote:yeah i don't think he was quite expecting to have to pay a service fee to use the Dev kit lol,
The problem is it needs verification from SCE so his "stolen" kits are never going to be activated

Acid,
Are you guys considering doing a ninja release for 3.12? Only reason im asking is because I know that Sony is supposedly getting ready to release 3.15 unless ive been misinformed. or would you wait for it to drop and find out if Sony didnt patch things up?

Those are not the guys were looking for....
Re: Katsu sTrikes back
Yea I forgot about that little "changing the app icon" thing. But we knew/now know a lot of what he had wasnt even from his findings. That interview he did is what really took the cake. He hasnt said a peep in the last 6 months or so.Acid_Snake wrote:he teased the **** out of the community with dumb little "hacks", but when he figured out he couldn't bypass the 30-day license renewal he resorted to selling the devkitsJd8531 wrote:To be fair SKFU didn't really strut anything publicly, atleast nothing that wasn't done already by Yifanlu.tinostar91 wrote: he acts more or less like SKFU did, "HEY! No. Releasing an exploit before a mandatory update isn't smart.AlexTwolf wrote:Acid,
