He must have used v1.0 which checks only for TN-V4

V1.1 fixed it

Thats why the name of the thread says TN-V4 +

Nope. I used 1.1 and was on V5 when I tried it, and it errored out multiple times. It wouldn't install until I went back down to V4. I thought you mighta been right, so I went and checked my .RAR archive, and it's the same one currently linked to in the OP. I don't even have the original version of the app.

Odd considering I installed it on TN-V5 heck I tested v1.1 on TN-V5 before he released it

Haha, yeah... I'm not calling you a liar or anything. It could totally be some stupid mistake I made somewhere in the process of doing everything that mighta caused the issue.
I never have problems with the stuff I get here, really, so when it comes to problems, I'm absolutely flabbergasted as to how to fix them or even describe what I did wrong.
Usually things just install with no issue, or I can figure out the problem very easily.
If it's confirmed that the issue I had no longer exists, then that's awesome. I got it working even with the issues, so I don't want to seem as though I'm trying to disparage anyone's work. It works great.
I just wanted to make sure that I let someone know, just in case, and offer up my solution.

I appreciate the hard work and you guys trying to help.

I always just FTP the unpacked one in the release so maybe he put the wrong one in the pre made zip?

The versions are exactly the same.

Did you used the Network Update function or have you downloaded the new release files?

And the TN-V Check is a simple check for the /flash/config.tn file. Means every TN-V revision will be detected and accepted (and all future ones if nothing changes). It's the plugin which doesn't work on TN-V1-3, even though the mod could be possibly installed. It just ends in a freeze when launching.

I mainly did this "simple check" for some crazy minds trying to install this on a PSP or VHBL.. :D
PSVita 1001 - 3.60
PSVita 1004 - 3.60 IDU
PSVita 1004 - 2.02 TN-V
PSP 2004 - 6.60 ME-1.8 (TA-085v1)
PSP 1004 - 5.00 M33-6 (TA-081)

As this mod uses my FTP server it probably is bound to the limitations it implies...

That means...

1. if possible, use Filezilla.
2. go to FileZilla settings and change the maximum number of concurrent connections to 1, everything else will end up corrupting your files.
3. change default transfer mode to active
4. change default transfer behavior to binary

After you change those settings in FileZilla you will get speeds up to 2MB/s, no corrupted files and no broken io-actions anymore.

A little explanation on why those settings are necessary...

Sony anticipated that we would be exploiting the Vita via WiFi, they expected us to sneak files in this way, and to counter it, they put a 50KB/s speed limitation on top of listening sockets (server sockets) to annoy us / slow us down.
By default FTP uses passive connection setups, which means the server has the listening socket and the client the connecting socket.

This puts us in this horrible speed limited setup Sony has provided for us.

When using FTP via active connections however, this switches the way FTP works around, making the client have the listening socket and the server the connecting socket.
Sony didn't bother slowing connecting sockets down, as it would affect PSN downloads, etc.

So yeah, active mode = unlimited speed, passive mode = 50KB/s limit on Vita.

As for the reason why the maximum number of connections has to be limited to 1... its simply because the FTP server app doesn't know multithreading... and gets confused when its being "attacked" by multiple connections.
I never got around to making it multithreading safe sadly.
@Freakler Great mod, thanx
Thanx for the explanation :)
I just tried coppying over approx. 1,5GB and the max speed stays around 500~700KB/s anyone else with better results?
Other settings maybe?

I get the same speed :D. but you should use ftp for maximum sending 100mb :D. 1,5gb is very big. the tip use Ftp for sending homebrews, plugins and CTF. Use CMA for Psp games, and PS1 ;) :D

I have Vita FTP installed here on TN-V6 and I got some questions. What are the benefits of installing this one over it? Is it true that using FTP on the Vita can corrupt the exploited game?
