Total NoobTotal-Noob wrote:It gets renamed every time you make a new folder in /PSP/GAME/. This is the only way to bypass :/ Myself I have never run into this problem. I have always told you guys that you should install homebrews with CMA&TN-V's feature to install

Re: [IMPORTANT] Not to lose the exploit game
Luckily I do have a PS3It will be returned to your download list when it's returned to the store, but of course that won't help you if you don't have a PS3 to transfer it, since the Vita won't be able to access your download list without upgrading and thereby patching TN's 3.01 and below kernel exploit.
Also, if somebody were to upload a backup of the game, couldn't I just transfer it back to my Vita via OpenCMA?
Apologies if there is a glaring fault with that last suggestion, have been away from this scene for a good while
Re: [IMPORTANT] Not to lose the exploit game
No, because the games backed up by CMA are encrypted, and we don't have the keys (otherwise we could already sign Vita ROMs to pirate them). And while we can snoop on download traffic, I believe the files are signed by Sony prior to transfer, so we never have an "unencrypted" version of a purchased Vita(or PSP-on-Vita) application.adamwalker13 wrote:Luckily I do have a PS3It will be returned to your download list when it's returned to the store, but of course that won't help you if you don't have a PS3 to transfer it, since the Vita won't be able to access your download list without upgrading and thereby patching TN's 3.01 and below kernel exploit. So I can just download it on that (when it returns to the store) and transfer it over, and should be all good again?

Also wololo wouldn't want that kind of thing going on here even if it were possible, since Sony surely isn't fond of the scene as it is. They would use any chance they had to sue and shut this stuff down.
But so the solution to your problem is to make sure not to upgrade, and then transfer the exploit game from the PS3 once it is returned to the store. Or if you're anxious/willing to waste some money, you might be able to get the newly announced ninja release game first. (I have no idea if/when the ninja release will begin, though, and obviously you'd be throwing away 5 - 20 dollars since you already have an exploit - assuming that this previous exploit is returned to the store as all previous games have been)
Re: [IMPORTANT] Not to lose the exploit game
Does this problem occur when transferring homebrews from a psp using adhoc file transfer? That is the method I always used before $ony messed with the game folder file structure. I haven hacked my 3.01 Vita yet but I intend to! Transferring anything that has a folder with bits inside is a pain with cma. At least i$o's are easier.
Edit: Adhoc file transfer worked without any issue to transfer brew to the game folder from my 1.81 vita to my 3.01 vita. Haven't noticed any renaming of PSP/GAME/

Re: [IMPORTANT] Not to lose the exploit game
Hi guys, you just need to backup the PSP game with open cma to recover it later.
I always backup the all exploited games on my PC, so if crash or deleted I can transfer them again even if Sony pulled from the PSN, the game is still in my list with opencma.

Re: [IMPORTANT] Not to lose the exploit game
if you lose the game by a crash all you need to do is rebuild the database(that fixed it for me at least)

Wow, really? As in "rebuild database" is seeing the misnamed PSP/GAME folder as a file system error and repairing it? That would be fantastic!grief3r wrote:if you lose the game by a crash all you need to do is rebuild the database(that fixed it for me at least)
