What is a tMENU theme?
Themes for tMENU are modifications of his aspect.
You can only do tMENU themes from tMenu 1.0 or above.
What can be changed?
You can modify the following files:
* Background.png - The wallpaper that appears when the homebrew/iso selected has no PIC1
* Bar.png - The top menu bar, where shows the name of the homebrew/iso selected and battery
* Battery_bar.png - The battery bar
* Battery_skin.png - The background against which we see the battery bar
* Corrupt.png - Icon that is displayed when a homebrew/iso is corrupted
* Default.png - Icon that is displayed when a homebrew/iso has no PIC0
* Option.png - The background that appears when you open the settings menu (by pressing square)
* Progressbar_bar.png - The progress bar movement facilities and isos
* Progressbar_skin.png - The background on which is the progress bar
But where are these files?
Interesting question ...
If we look into the save folder of eCFW/CEF TN-C we will see a file called DATA.TN, there are the images to change, but we need to access them:
1 - Rename DATA.TN to data.zip
2 - Unzip the data.zip
3 - You will got a folder called ¨temp¨, there are these images
How to create our own theme
Try to explain, it is noteworthy that no one taught me this, what I describe here I found myself by trial and error, which may commit a fault.
1 - We perform the steps mentioned above to get the ¨temp¨ folder from DATA.TN
2 - Modify the images at will, or create entirely new ones to replace the originals, but the following guidelines are important: (I recommend Photoshop)
* When we create a new image from scratch with photoshop when creating the new file should be a picture of 8bits, with 16bits tMENU crashs sometimes.
* Never change the dimensions of an image, be aware that.
Example: if the original option.png is 480x286 the custom option.png have to be 480x286, neither more or less.
* When saving the .png image we have created must select ¨Interlaced¨, if not the tMENU crashs.
* The slides to images can be applied to consumer tastes.
3 - Now that we have our custom images we need to pack the ¨temp¨ folder in a zip with maximum compression.
4 - Rename the zip you just created to DATA.TN (all caps)
5 - To install replace the DATA.TN of TN-C by DATA.TN we have created, for this we have two options
* Through CMA: Download a new CEF save then replace the DATA.TN by ours, and then we copy the save by the CMA as always.
* Through FTP: Go directly with the FTP in ¨ms0:/PSP/SAVEDATA/¨save¨ delete DATA.TN in there, and copy ours in place, when we leave the FTP tMENU will load with our modification (tested by me several times).
PS: If you want to always see your custom background just have to disable the option ¨Show PIC1¨ in tMENU settings menu.
Themes made by me as shown
(Do not ask how to install, 5 lines above I have explained)
