I hope its ps1 with sound added. Wasting time portng to other exploits is useless at this moment.
psp 1001 + 2001 + 3001 pro cfw,
ps3 rogero 4.30 cfw 80gb +500gb ext,
ps3 160gb ofw
ps vita 3g/wifi ecfw 2.02

Well at least it lends further weight to his promise to release his code after the update... since he's really obligated to release it already, lol.Acid_Snake wrote:I'm not 100% positive but I think the code he got from PRO was for iso/cso playback
He's probably concerned that someone will take his code, improve a couple parts, and then call it PRO something, thereby kinda stealing his thunder after he saved this k exploit ;p
I really do appreciate his quick release, and it's not a huge deal that his source isn't out yet since there's no money involved, but he should release his source code as soon as possible since he's morally obligated to, and there is little reason to believe that waiting to release it will deter Sony from patching it quickly.
I think people in the scene need to realize that, as individuals, you should try to act more morally than is the standard in corporate affairs. Even if you're competing with other developers, treat them fairly and by the rules (like gpl) that are commonly agreed to... do unto others as you would have them do unto you. lol
re:Trollkilla - it's not useless to all the people that missed this release, lol.

Re: MESSAGE FROM TN
it's not that easy, pops on the psp used Media Engine to emulate audio, the problem is the vita does not emulate Media EngineTrollkilla wrote:I hope its ps1 with sound added. Wasting time portng to other exploits is useless at this moment.

TN said he it will take him a lot of time to get full ps1 support.. so i gues it wont be included in the next version...Trollkilla wrote:I hope its ps1 with sound added. Wasting time portng to other exploits is useless at this moment.
Im shure this is a new exploit/port for poeple that were unlucky and didnd manage to get Urbanix on time..
Re: MESSAGE FROM TN
That'd be my guess as well, since the community is currently split pretty harshly between Urbanix users and older exploit/no exploit usersEliminator wrote:TN said he it will take him a lot of time to get full ps1 support.. so i gues it wont be included in the next version...Trollkilla wrote:I hope its ps1 with sound added. Re: MESSAGE FROM TN
it requires mayor pops hacks, basically you have to hack pops to accept any sound plugin, then port some plugin like peops to it, and even so it might not be 100% good (not even 50% tbh)Eliminator wrote:TN said he it will take him a lot of time to get full ps1 support.. so i gues it wont be included in the next version...Trollkilla wrote:I hope its ps1 with sound added. Re: MESSAGE FROM TN
So how are PSN titles doing it? They have a sound driver written by Sony that is native to the Vita? (whereas the PSP implementations of PSP support that we have access to use stuff that doesn't exist on the Vita)Acid_Snake wrote: it requires mayor pops hacks, basically you have to hack pops to accept any sound plugin, then port some plugin like peops to it, and even so it might not be 100% good (not even 50% tbh)
presumably that wouldn't mean that PSone titles could be a vector for a Vita exploit, but wouldn't it mean that once we have a Vita user mode (but more likely kernel) hack, we'd be able to use the Vita's method for PSone sound emulation?
if that's the case, i'm not sure it would be worth it to even get past 50% quality sound emulation if the effort required is too great, since a future hack will be able to get near 100% quality

Re: MESSAGE FROM TN
the 1.80 psx emu is normal pops, except sound is emulated by vita OS
Re: MESSAGE FROM TN
so it would probably require a Vita kernel hack to patch into that?Acid_Snake wrote:the 1.80 psx emu is normal pops, except sound is emulated by vita OS
