Vita Toolchain compiling problem (Ubuntu 16.04)

Post by Xaronyr » Tue Aug 16, 2016 10:19 pm

Hi Guys

I've tried setting up the Vita toolchain but it doesn't seem to want to work. I've followed the instructions on how to set it up from the vdpm page (https://github.com/vitadev/vdpm), instead of putting the exports for VITASDK and the PATH extention through the terminal each time I've added them to ~/.profile but every time I try to compile a project I get the following error

arm-vita-eabi-gcc -Wl,-q -Wall -O3 -c -o main.o main.c
/usr/local/vitasdk/bin/arm-vita-eabi-gcc: 1: /usr/local/vitasdk/bin/arm-vita-eabi-gcc: Syntax error: "(" unexpected
<builtin>: recipe for target 'main.o' failed
make: *** [main.o] Error 2

Here is a copy/paste of my ~/.profile in case you need that too

# ~/.profile: executed by the command interpreter for login shells.
# This file is not read by bash(1), if ~/.bash_profile or ~/.bash_login
# exists.
# see /usr/share/doc/bash/examples/startup-files for examples.
# the files are located in the bash-doc package.

# the default umask is set in /etc/profile; for setting the umask
# for ssh logins, install and configure the libpam-umask package.
#umask 022

# if running bash
if [ -n "$BASH_VERSION" ]; then
# include .bashrc if it exists
if [ -f "$HOME/.bashrc" ]; then
. "$HOME/.bashrc"
fi
fi

# set PATH so it includes user's private bin if it exists
if [ -d "$HOME/bin" ] ; then
PATH="$HOME/bin:$PATH"
fi

export VITASDK="/usr/local/vitasdk"
export PATH="$VITASDK/bin:$PATH"

Can anyone help me shine some light on where the problem is?

This is an issue with the C code not your ~/.profile
