I cant find the exact post but yifun said if we could get high quality images of something in the vita he knew who he could send it to. (I don't want to put words in his mouth so i am using words like "something")

Found it.

=1) nope. There's no interest in hacking the vita in hardware and software. I spoke to a couple of psp emu hackers and was told flat out that they weren't interested in vita mode hacking. I have sent a couple of chips to a guy named marahallh on irc but as of today, the decap has not happened yet.

2) I did some very minimal hardware work funded by the community but that's as much as I know.

3) If someone hands me the bootrom in high res images. Or even better the bootrom code. I know exactly who to contact with such information and find an exploit.

4) like I implied before, I personally think top down is the way to go. You can spend all this money and get the boot rom (success) only to find no exploits and the only thing you gain is the boot rom keys which is useless without kernel exploits to extract the code.

5) If someone wants to decap. They better make sure they have a good microscope.

6) nope. I don't think it's worth it. Or I would have attempted it already. I like to focus more on software.

I was talking about the pinouts today, and seems that memory card is just a modified M2 card.

i thought it was a micro sd modified same # of pins only visible diff is extra plastic in areas.

Do you guys mean like an electron microscope?

I'm curious to how it would help unravel more info. If I pull a lot of strings, I might be able to sneak into our lab and get some images on a CryoTEM or SEM done. Doubt it would help though.
