I think what most of you are missing is the fact that it his work, whether its no better than the USB video mod or not.

Look at the PS2 backward compatibility drive that Sony patented/invented, they never released that...why? Because they didn't have to.

Bottom line: katsu put the thought, time and labour into it, so it is his choice to release it, whether commercially or to the scene.

Uhg, where exactly does Katsu say he won't release it because "people" can make money from it? He himself stands to make money. This is why he won't make it public. I don't hate him for it either, I don't need, nor require, video output.

On a side note, something like this is completely worthy of selling. It does not enable piracy, or screw over any Dev's. The only way I'd see $ony get mad, is this mod could potentially halt the sales of VitaTV. However it's $ony's fault for making the VitaTV so restricted (Region, and games)
