You can use charles with firmware 2.61, though.
They fixed the lower firmwares from time to time. 2.12 and 2.60 got fixed a few weeks ago.
Ok, couple of questions here. I'm on 2.02 UNO using TN-V2. I want to try and get FieldRunners and retain access to the 64mb of memory. I tried using Charles Proxy like the OP and ran into the same exact issue:
The latest version of the system software is already installed (C3-12049-6)
Attemps to log in to the PlayStation Store, it says:
You must update the system software
If I "upgrade" to 2.12 will I then be able to use Charles? I'm not sure what you mean Z when you say 2.12 and 2.60 "got fixed". Meaning you can no longer user Charles to get to the store? So I'm assuming now my only option is to download FieldRunners on a PS3 and try the OpenCMA trick? Will that work on 2.02 or 2.12? Or will I have to upgrade to 2.61 (losing 64mb compatibilty) for either Charles or the PS3 trick?
I understand that I will have to wait until TN-V4 is released if I upgrade to 2.12 or 2.61, but I can always dust off the PSP between now and then!
Thanks for the help

I managed to upgrade to 2.02, but now when I connect to my PS3 I get the "You must update" message. I got this a lot on 1.67, but occasionally was able to connect anyways after a dozen or so attempts. Is there a trick to being able to connect to the PS3 without upgrading to the current firmware? Or should I go another route, like OpenCMA to get UNO on my Vita?
Edit: Got the OpenCMA "trick" to work, I should be able to bring UNO over once the PSN store comes back online.

OK what you need to do is have any game on the PS3 that can be sent to the Vita
now on PC you will need OpenCMA installed and working
after you have that then its simple but might take a few tries
Connect Vita with PC > unplug the Vita but do not close any errors > connect with PS3 and it should let you transfer things
simply transfer any game and the Vita should be activated with the same profile on the PS3

Is my XML file wrong? Some tutorials say I need to add a query string in Charles that says
, but others leave out that step. I've tried doing it and hitting execute, but it doesn't seem to "stick" (ie, the next time I try to login, it doesn't appear to append the query string in Charles.) Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?
it is supposed to be add var then the firmware your on such as mine is 2.61 which would then read var 02610000 so if your on 2.02 or something when you change what u need to and it says to add var then u would type in var 02020000

Hey i had the similar problem and i searched around and around and asked questioned but what i have learned is that ***Charles ONLY works for Firmware 2.61***, that being said is that yes 2.61 can have access to PSN and older Firmware CANNOT
