Hey what windows are you using, windows 7 ?Marty91 wrote:Bump. Sorry if this is getting repetitive, but no solution yet. =/
Because did you try using JD's instructions he posted on the last page, but run everything in Administration mode. That was how I got mine to work.

Yeah, I've been running as admin anyway.
Re: Open CMA 5.0 does not work
I was having this issue too, then I just copied the CMA folder into my documents and it worked just fine. For the giggles I also ran both CMA.exe and CMADownloader.exe* just before using run.bat so it was full of success!Marty91 wrote:I feel like I've tried everything. It forces me to update if I try to connect. Followed the instructions on this page: http://wololo.net/2012/12/07/release-op ... firmwares/, but to no avail. Reinstalled CMA multiple times, both from the Vita itself and downloaded. Run both .bat and then setdll as admin. My current firmware is 2.02.
Had the Vita for a month and was under the impression it was working, but I guess not.
I get this message in my command window when running the .bat:
"ERROR: The process "CMA.exe" not found.
ERROR: The process "CMADownloader.exe" not found."
Advice appreciated.
*As soon as I opened it I ran run.bat. I didn't let it download anything ect.

Didn't work for me, I'm afraid. (Surprise, I know.)Reamer87 wrote:I was having this issue too, then I just copied the CMA folder into my documents and it worked just fine. For the record. Am I supposed to do anything with CMADownloader? Haven't really.
Re: Open CMA 5.0 does not work
Only thing I can think of is either you don't have all the files in the same folder or your account (on your PC) isn't being given admin rights (even if it is an admin account it can still get limited by your OS).
Try installing CMA on a different computer. Go through the steps to install Open CMA on top of it, then transfer the CMA folder onto a flash drive. Put it on whatever machine or place you want it afterwords.

@ Reamer87
You just reminded me of something that may fix this issue.
@ Marty91
Here you go.
Just open the .reg file & install this to your registry, then right-click on the CMA folder in Program Files & click Take Ownership. Run the .bat file as administrator to install OpenCMA (just like normal), now see if it works.

Re: Open CMA 5.0 does not work
I used the administrator mode to install open CMA 5 run.bat, and it worked great. If you've used a lower version, start with a fresh CMA install, then install Open CMA.

Re: Open CMA 5.0 does not work
I have installed it on another computer and tried to run it on that. Though I suppose I could try installing it on my laptop and then transfer to my main PC. If I seem negative, it's just because nothing simply works... =PReamer87 wrote:Only thing I can think of is either you don't have all the files in the same folder or your account (on your PC) isn't being given admin rights (even if it is an admin account it can still get limited by your OS).

Yeah. If you check earlier in the thread, I'm sure you'll see that I've reinstalled multiple (like 10) times or so.I used the administrator mode to install Open CMA 5 run.bat, and it worked great. If you've used a lower version, start with a fresh CMA install, then install Open CMA.
