Yeah, but then I'll lose all my PSP games (which I own and partly bought a Vita for). There's no knowing when the next exploit will be, nor any guarantee I'll be in time/circumstance to get it. So I really want to exhaust every other possibility before it comes to that.NNNRT wrote:OK, update, & wait for the next exploit, because like that you aren't getting anything at all from your Vita, neither eCFW, PSN apps, games, music, photos, nor video. And with updating you can transfer files using Wifi.

Re: Open CMA 5.0 does not work
what homebrews do you currently have in your installation? does it have PSPFiler or other file manager?
before trying yifanlu's CMA did you first do the smashwall procedure (repeating attempts as I said a long time ago) to get rid of the primary message?

Re: Open CMA 5.0 does not work
I'm afraid I only have PSP games and some emulators.StepS wrote:what homebrews do you currently have in your installation? does it have PSPFiler or other file manager?

I did do that, yes. It was to no avail.
Re: Open CMA 5.0 does not work
Hi guys! Just new here.
Anyways, I also having the same problem: Open CMA 5 doesn't work to me too.
I already tried everything suggested in this thread but no luck.
Additional Information:
PS Vita Firmware: 2.12 (latest version as of 7/15/2013)
CMA Version: 2.10.6402.20 (latest version as of 7/15/2013)
PC OS: Windows 7 Ultimate x64
It sucks when you don't have a full control of what you bought. T_T
I haven't transferred any files since I bought my PS Vita. My 16GB MC is useless as of now.

Re: Open CMA 5.0 does not work
Okay, it's working now.
1. Install official CMA.
2. Patch it using Open CMA 5. Follow all the instructions there.
3. Disable Wi-Fi from PS Vita.
4. Connect it to your PC. It doesn't matter if the PC is connected to the Internet.
5. Open CMA application from PS Vita. It will search for online connection, just leave it as it is, it will just stop.
6. Voila! You can now transfer files PS Vita -> PC and vice versa.

Re: Open CMA 5.0 does not work
Hey, umm... I'm a new user here, but I found a solution for those having trouble with the CMA USB connection.
With CMA, just exit the program. There's a post on this page that uses a "take ownership" option, and it
will really help too by the way. Anyways, go to the install folder for CMA
C:/Program Files (86)/Sony/Content Manager Assistant, copy OpenCMA files to the folder, use the
"Take ownership" from earlier, then as admin run the run.bat. It should force close the CMA program too.
Now, BEFORE you connect your PS Vita, go into your Device Manager (Click on Start, right-click on Computer,
then Manage for Windows 7) and uninstall the "PS Vita" Type B driver. When you reconnect the PS Vita to the computer, it should reinstall the driver "MTP USB Device", which is the right driver for you. This should help.
