I think these emu can be on the PSN if they are renamed to something not relating to what emu they play.. On the Windows marketplace they have some emu that are named something completely different. so someone should upload it to psn and see if it gets approved.

Forget it. Emulators are not going to be approved by Sony.

Microsoft is struggling to get some share on the mobile OS market, since W7 Phone is a big failure for now. They probably know but prefer to not look. PSV is a completely different situation.

Note that I'm not saying "do not make it". I personally would make it if I find the project interesting, no matter what. I'm just saying it's highly probable that Sony will not allow such apps in the PSN.

For something about emulators, like a 68000 CPU, you should read the entry #6 here: http://community.eu.playstation.com/t5/ ... p/15876285

Even if it is possible to make some emulators, for now it will be impossible to have a correct sound output since the API only deal with WAV & MP3 *files* (not buffer, we can't send buffers to the audio). So it is more interessting to make emulators for the PSP and then use it on the VITA with some hack in my opinion.

Also emulators in C#... that's gonna be quite slow, I'm afraid.

Yes i'm afraid too. The VM running the code seem to be not very fast regarding all the thread about this subject on the pss forum. But another question come in my mind: Why use this this tool (i assume some of us use it), if it will be closed [put a random date here] in the near future?

All our work will finish to the trash? No one will be able to use it, even the guys making it.

I'm just playing with their sdk and try to make a basic lib to achieve some intros/demos (and we can't make a mod/xm player for now... sadly...). What i need to do is to achieve at least one prod and release it as videos on pouet or elsewhere and i'm done. But for people making really great project taking more time, usefull for other people, what will happen ?

Give the 99$ to Sony and try to publish the app (with the hope that Sony will not blast you) ? Or wait for something like a VITA hack + PSS SDK unlock / Alternive SDK (making the old project incompatible?)?
