Problems installing gPSP

Post by MyLegGuy » Sat May 16, 2015 10:45 pm

When I'm in VHBL and I install gPSP, it installs it in a directory called VHBL. And then when I launch gPSP, it looks for roms in stuff in a directory called Games. But there is nothing there because it was installed in the VHBL directory!

What am I doing wrong?

Try using this: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/880 ... L_2.12.zip

It corrects the directory, but my problem is I get a black screen that says font int error and that's all she wrote.
let me know if this fixes your problem and if so I would love links to your downloads and bios to see if mine are faulty somehow!

I have the same problem with fonts. Black screen and "font init error". And it's not important if i use bios or not.

I download the one you linked. And added bios that I know are working.
But same thing as you guys, does some stuff and then says 'Font Init Error'.

I'm having the same problem here.

I install it but when I try to run it, it gives me a 'font init error' and then just crashes back to the vhbl.

I've tried different versions, different install methods, but it keeps giving that error.

My language is not perfect, but i think that you'll understand.

I'm here and i'm ready to tell you how to force to work this emulator.
1. You need to download japanese version of gPSP - v. 100429. I'll give you an archive with bios.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/sh8zep153gndt ... 1.zip?dl=0
Seriously, i can't understand this joke when i could search and download and add to archive this bios file. Why wouldn't just take and put bios file in archive?
2. You need to install this gPSP.
3. When you'll start the emulator, you'll see something that looks like letters. Press any button.
4. Let's setup language. There's a video how to setup language: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9-4a9Chowg8
That's all.
I can't say anymore because i have a problem with buttons. I described about this problem in this topic:
viewtopic.php?f=53&t=42810

In brief:
1. Download this: https://www.dropbox.com/s/sh8zep153gndt ... 1.zip?dl=0
2. Install this
3. Start the emulator and when you'll see something that looks like letters then press any button.
4. Setup language. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9-4a9Chowg8

I put in archive a game named "Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow". I don't know this game would to work or not. If you haven't problem with keys and you can change language to English then write here what's error come in sight when you start the game.

Oh, problems with the buttons. I had that for all the emulators I tried too. Oh well. I'm not even going to bother installing this then. I was hoping gpsp didn't have that problem too.
